I'm starting to feel like you may as well have just sold the metal shell that hyperkin pretty clearly just tossed a teal-backlit GBP into for the last prototype. Hell I'd still buy the hell out of that.

someone could do pretty well just making metal enclosures for the various models, tbh. a lot of people suggest aluminum, but stainless steel generally holds up better over time (plus some people like me have weirdly acidic skin oils which corrode aluminum quickly if handled - found that out when i bought an aluminum lighter that i liked to fidget with)

not sure which version you're using, but some versions of nanovoice take external sync signals (same as the nanoloop 1.0-1.3 carts/roms) http://gbdev.gg8.se/files/musictools/Ol … Nanovoice/

Has anyone given this a test with a Pi 3?

This thread indicated that the person got it running but the audio was distorted. Don't know if any buffer size configuration was attempted, I'm gonna give it a shot when I can find the time.

it also doesn't sound like they tried a usb soundcard, so that might be a factor as well

Hope you get it running, I've been using a clip+ for years (with rockbox) and love it so much that when the volume button went to crap on my first one , i bought a second.
From what i remember, there is a button combo that can be pressed for a full factory reset (done at power on), that might help if leaving it charging for a few days doesn't help

Listing a price is in the rules for the forum. Please google/check completed ebay listings and add an asking price to your post

Pretty sure you can shrink any image down to 4gb, it’s just a standard to make it easy to share

Yep, as long as you haven't added your sample library (or it's small enough that less than 4gb of your current card is used). I just assumed you'd immediately loaded on 8+ gb of samples like i did when i set up my b+. If I'd known others would run into trouble with their b+ setups, I'd have made an img file first

awesome. you should set this build up on a 4GB sd card and upload an img file at some point. i'm sure people both here & in the lgpt facebook group would appreciate it

mGB is better than pushpin imo. Also, the nanoloop usb midi adapter can be used for it (or arduinoboy/usb boy of course). If you're sequencing via midi anyway, just have all the cc messages you need to change the settings to what you want right at the beginning of the track

You need to have a remix album called "liquid". I'll volunteer to do a remix for it

I think i used it on a track on the album BTR8, but i couldn't say which one since i was messing with it, lab sound, & one or two other gba programs back then like looper advance

Awkward Terrible

you should probably just take the pics for everyone's benefit regardless of OP's response, especially since they might not respond any time soon since this thread is 9 months old

Hey guys! I'm in the market to buy a PC. This isn't for my personal use; it's for the family.

Specs in mind:
-Processor: atleast Intel core i7 / AMD Threadripper 1900X
-8-16GB RAM
-1 TB SSD
-USB 3.0 ports
-DVD/Blu-ray player

My budget is about $1200-1500. Though I don't plan on doing any PC gaming, I don't know what it may be used for down the line. Plus, I want it to last. I also already have a VGA monitor, keyboard, and speakers. Thanks all!

(okay, I know I'm not talking about old/used PCs)

what do you need an i7 for if you aren't gaming with it? heavy video editing use? for just a general purpose family computer, the i7 is probably overkill, all your other specs can be had for around half your budget (with an i5 instead of the i7, even the i7 would leave it well below your budget the last i checked). don't spend more than you need to, that money can go towards gear, beer, delicious food, or if you really just don't care you can always paypal me any excess funds wink

welcome, hope you have fun with lsdj. to answer your questions:

- lots of people use multiple game boys so they can load up one track on the 2nd game boy while the first is still going and then beat match to transition from one to the next, but you can always also bring in other hardware and maybe have a sample playing while you transition, some ominous synth tones, radio static, really anything. hell, you can even just tell jokes or banter between tracks, whatever feels right to you for your music, the gig, & the crowd situation. on & off i personally would play back the mercury theater's original recording of war of the worlds, which was fun. i'd just fade it down during tracks and bring it back up for any gaps while i switched stuff around

- see above, though i also use lgpt more than lsdj now and have tended to write entire sets within a single save so no down time between tracks. would be harder (but not impossible) in lsdj

- not important at all. Nuby made some nice lights that slide on, i've seen people rock head-mounted lamps, & even desks lamps. as long as you can see what you're doing, the exact method isn't important

- external power supplies aren't recommended. most add a bit of noise to the output & a set of eneloop rechargeable batteries should give you more than enough juice for even the longest sets as long as you charge them before the gig. plus a set can be charged a ton of times so they can last you for thousands of hours total use time

& yep, this is the right section. good luck, and feel free to post any additional questions, work in progress for constructive criticism & releases. i'd be personally curious to hear your other stuff, always cool to hear what other people are up to musically

Exactly, it's great for all those niche effects (the slicer is handy for some things). The distortions on it are ok, but the delays, phasers, flangers, & some of the reverbs make it well worth the price. They also pop up used for $60-$80 fairly often if you're willing to hunt around a little. But it's not going to make me want to ditch my distortion pedals or my oc-2

i've got a zoom ms-50g that's pretty great. can run up to 6 different effects at once and the newest updates give you access to 172 different effects or guitar cab emulators (mostly effects, forget how many cab emulators) gives you a ton of options in a single pedal
