Sweet! Looks hot.

Should be good!

EDIT: It was damn good, and I now imagine danimal and zef making it rain with all the cash they just made on bandcamp. Well deserved!

If all else fails, and you have a copy of 32bit windows XP lying around (legit or naughty), you can create a small virtual machine on your windows 7 or 8 computer using virtualbox https://www.virtualbox.org/
Then when you plug in your ems cart, it gets recognized by xp, you tell it to install custom drivers, point it to the ones you've downloaded, and BAM - it works like a charm.

It sounds like a bit of overkill, but in my experience it's a lot faster and more straightforward then messing around with those shite drivers, cerificates and all that.

Bandcamp is totally doing better than breaking even. You know how they've paid artists $30 million dollars as of now?  They take 15% of that in most cases.  That's what, 4.5 million?

Yeah, but there's going to be a fair few costs involved there.
Paying staff salaries, server costs, hosting costs, I assume some kind of building rent, maintenance, tax, etc. I doubt they'd be rolling in money (but they could be if they plastered people's pages with google ads).

Fly my pretty Euros, fly!

I enjoyed that a lot, thank you smile

I'm on the same level as you basically, so take my opinion with a grain of salt:
That said, it's pretty rad. I don't find it too crowded. I like the lead melodies. Also the concept behind it is great.
Here's to developing as musicians!

Congrats to the guys, despite so many game boy mishaps.
What got me was the level of quality and professionalism regardless of whole carts getting wiped and/or corrupted, etc.

You are literally my favorite person.

You're very welcome.

Wow, that sounds fantastic! Holy shit.
Really nice mix of guitar and chip. Going to get that album when it's out.

Sexy.

How loud is the "EEEEEEEEE" noise? If it's really faint it's probably just the default noise that comes out of a game boy. (So look into prosound)
If it's loud, it's probably somethin more sinister.

Really awesome stuff, dude!

Are they prosound modded? Any other mods in the game boys?
Have you tried different LSDJ versions? Etc?
Also, yeah, what does the noise sound like?

How do you make those gifs?

1. Go to youtube vid
2. Set up screen capture software and record snippit of video
3. Open said snippit in photoshop, crop out bits I don't want
4. "Save for web", play around with gif settings until it's a decent filesize
5. Give the gift of gif on chipmusic.org

You could do this with after effects too, but I like photoshop's gif settings and instant preview better.
