obvs I'm hella late to all of this, but looking through past threads, complaints about midines from here and other places as well, it basically seems to come down to "If you aren't well known in the chip scene, you'll get pissed around and never get a cart" and you are someone who's well known, that could be why you've always got yours.
The idea that if you aren't well known, you probably won't get one is kinda the reason that I'd be interested in this project, I'd been thinking of getting midines for a while, but after doing some research, I'd rather wait for an alternative.
Also, pirating is part of chiptune heritage or something.

also for motivation, I tend to write stuff when I'm slightly motivated. If I really want to write a song, I tend to jump straight in, and loose interest the second something doesn't work out, if I have no motivation, I write shite, and if I have a little, I usually become more interested in the song as I write

Also darkshadow, chip is very underground, and that's partially why the forum is so active, if you get what I mean.

I've tried it with my, and other chipmusician's songs. Playing it again and again is a surefire way to make you hate the song. Also, if one of you motherfuckers was the one who beat my highscore on Solarbear - How to Properly Use a Semicolon then I will cut you.

Hasn't gameboycarts been around for a while? I remember the site from like >2010 back when 8bc was a thing. And, this guy's site is on thretris' blog, right at the bottom, which is probably how I found out about it.
I sold a bunch of old toys and shit, so I may be bidding on some of this stuff, if I win anything, I'll let you guys know how it all plays out.
