Got any screenshots, or proof of concept stuff you can show us?

you could see if chipmusic makes sunflowers grow faster
you could do something about either how fast it grows using the same song, but played through different compatible hardware (speed when a DMG plays a song, compared to when a gba) or something.
You could also compare against different chip tracks (of the same length) You could use different volumes as variables.
You could see if a sunflower grows faster when listening to chiptune, or _insert genre_

Re: Is anyone else here only for the hardware/mods? (56 replies, posted in General Discussion)
Nope. Not seeing any value in modding for non-creative use.
Modding shows your creative side. I'm talking about stiff like painting gameboys, and getting coloured buttons, and backlights. Even though it isn't for music, it's still creative, it's artistic expression. Also, a lot of mods have non-chip uses. Backlights are pretty obvious, but even stuff like clock kits can be used for no chip stuff. If you want to speed up/ slow down gameplay. I know this isn't a massive one that people go for, but still.
What's your view on other console mods then, more modern stuff, or PCs?
who the fuck uses a game genie?
Me
I have to use it in a different gameboy though, because it doesn't fit my kitsch case.

why would you bother modding shitty old consoles if not for chiptune purposes? seriously, why?
Maybe because some people still want to use them at gameboys, rather than instruments, which was, after all, their original purpose.
Christ.

Re: Chiptune attire? (148 replies, posted in General Discussion)
I just wear coloured hoodies (usually with some kind of gaming tee underneath), black skinny jeans and converse.
I don't wear clothes that really reflect the music I listen to because otherwise I'd have all kind of weird combinations, such as snapbacks and trenchcoats.

I'd been wondering if this was possible/ how well it would work out. I may ask some of the DT teachers at school if they'd be nice enough to help me do something like this.

I'd quite happily take over. I've got school starting as well, but I always have plenty of free time after school, and at the weekends. As long as rendering the videos isn't going to be to much of a memory eater, I should be fine.

Although I haven't played it for a while, I'm pretty sure that ssbb is still up and running.
