Does anyone know anything about this?
Is it a homebrew thing or was it something used by Nintendo?
I know it's kinda random, but I was looking for unusual Gameboy carts and stumbled upon this and just thought it was really interesting.

Hmm. Has there not been chiptune shows in Hawaii before? That's trippy if so

This is not true at all in any legal sense. In practice, though, most of the time it will be ignored, some of the time you will get a takedown notice. If you're very unlucky you can be sued.
w.r.t. YouTube, generally a cover will get flagged by the copyright holder but not taken down, and they will usually put ads on your video and collect the ad revenue. (This is a bum deal for the cover artist, but there is currently no way to get compulsory rights for a cover in a video.)
I'm sorry. I guess I was just lucky.
It can be a real pain in the as finding the original publisher to seek permission as well, but it never hurts to email the label and ask

Sometimes I get asked to take my clothes off. I rarely do though.

Re: local gameboy prices? (42 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
Around here in Texas, Greg DMGs are around $15,
Play-It-Loud DMGs are anywhere from $15-45 (the clear ones are expensive),
Pockets are around $15-20 (I spent 17 on a red one not long ago),
and Colors are anywhere from $20-35.
Advance is around $30,
SPs and Micros I haven't seen in a while, but I've heard from friends that Micros go for like $100-120 due to a limited supply.

Re: what should I do with my NES? (17 replies, posted in Nintendo Consoles)
Thanks yogi, I bet I could use some effect pedals to get arps and echoes and bends, actually.
I'll be patient. It seems I'd have to wait for a copy of NESK-1 as well anyways, ahaha
