Just put this together tonight. Not got a backlight for it yet though. The green is a fluorescent paint that is really difficult to capture in photographs; it's great irl.

Love what people are doing with the GB Camera and I really wanna start using mine, but I don't know how I can get them to my computer. I have a MadCatz camera link cable which goes to a parallel port. I think my dad might have an old computer with this kind of port somewhere, but I'd rather not have to use his. If I got a parallel port to USB adapter, would I be able to use it on my MacBook? Or does it require extra drivers or something? I also have access to Windows XP but again, I'd rather use my own computer if possible.
Any help is much appreciated. smile

Rare blue, clear buttons painted white underneath, white backlight, clear/white start/select, white power indicator, internal pro sound, white screen protector.  No alterations to that lekker shell!!

The internals with mods were a straight transfer from another DMG I had lying around and I put it all together to discover that batteries aren't working in it.  They aren't dead.  Guess I will be taking it back apart letter to see what happened but not right now.

Great idea to paint the buttons from the inside! I have done game boys from the inside but never thought to do the buttons.

Nope, only genuine DMGs in here as far as I'm aware. My colour memory just obviously wasn't very good. A bit worrying as my job involves knowing colours. smile

Looking at mine now, and I suppose they are light blue, but a very green light blue. smile Sorry for the confusion.

Alot of Play it loud editions come with white d-pad silicone and ive found a few in random DMG's so im guessing just 'good luck' lol
Wouldnt mind buying alot of stock of these along with the white lsdj sticker I used >..<

Ah well I've a couple of clear PILs and they have the green one. I'll see what's inside of my yellow one some day.

Clear start/select...No pro-sound needed

Made this one for rockman as a thank you heart

That looks totally awesome. How did you get white silicon pads for the buttons? My d-pad silicons are always green. I had one white one but I don't know where it came from.

My plan was to go with white or black cases on three and work the CMY in on buttons, power switches, backlights and screen covers, alternating the colours on each. Love the brightness of this one though. big_smile

Actually have most of the parts now, I should really get round to starting.

Ah, a set! Awesome. Definitely do it. I want to see it.

I've been wanting to do something like this for aaaages. Looks great!

I'm quite jealous now. neutral

Thanks. smile You should do one too! I'm sure there's other ways to do a CMYK inspired case if you don't want to do exactly what I did.

Thanks man! CMYK is always one of my favourite things to do.

I tried dying some silicon SS buttons and button pads (to go in a clearboy) but it didn't work very well.. I was in a rush and picked up some dye at Sainsburys on my lunch break, but I didn't see that it's only semi-permanent... Oops! I think it's probably why the buttons didn't go black.

This is the dye I picked up:

And a bunch of buttons and pads:

These are the results. The SS buttons were the original grey ones. They went darker grey and the tips went quite black but still not completely black. The pads went sort of khaki colours:

Will be getting some permanent dye at some point and will try again.

I've had this CMYKboy hanging around for a little while but never got around to taking any photos.

Pretty pleased with it, except the yellow backlight is a bit more orange than I had hoped/realised. I want to change the white Kitsch buttons to black once I dye some black buttons.
