I was thinking. The most famous people have weird pseudonyms.
Eminem, for instance. That's a candy. C'mon. I'm not dissing him, but really.

Umm, Marshall Mathers

$6000 to make a fucking game? Are these people having a giggle?

If you read the info on the kickstarter, the $6k is to cover their living expenses for the summer so they can work full-time on it and not have to work summer jobs(one of them is a full-time student).

Really excited to check this out when finished.  It looks great from the videos, and that soundtrack...

Awesome, thanks guys! I'm really excited about this, we made 1/6th of our goal in the first 24 hours!

No idea, I've never used Kickstarter, and I don't have any control on this project. If you want I can talk to the dudes and see if there's something we can work out with paypal?

I use my Visa Debit Card all the time on Kickstarter

Hmm...I will give it a shot then.  I got to the payment screen, and it showed only credit cards.

EDIT: and it worked!  I've usually found unless they say Visa Debit, they don't accept it.

Looks like an awesome project, and the music sounds awesome!!  Sadly, I went to donate on this, and it only offers payment via Amazon, which only accepts credit cards(apparently Visa debit doesn't count).  No Paypal?  Never dealt with Kickstarter before.  Shame, as I'd like to help fund this.

is nice but i still think the drum programming is more interesting in kraettz's drumnbassy stuff its a bit more drukqs afxy than remarc jungle.

Lol, thanks for posting that link; 17 plays in the last couple hours.  I did post that here too.

Back on topic, not exactly dubstep, but check out Tommy Creep(Evil Scientist on the forum).  Soooo good.

haha, I did step on some toes.  I simply shared an opinion on his music, and shared some of my own thoughts on LSDj.  Like I said, it did grow on me as I listened to it a few times.  I just don't like his style so much.  My initial post/impression may have been a bit harsh, I will admit that.

Also, for my track that you mention; you are comparing something I did live to sequenced drums.  I made that in under an hour, hoping if nitro2k01 heard somebody using it, he would continue developing it further.  I actually tried to make it cliche and sound like generic 90's jungle, sirens and gunshots and boh!!  It's a 1 second amen loop and I'm glitching/stuttering it on the fly while triggering samples and mixing between the melody and bass, come on.

I am still relatively new to LSDj compared to some here, and haven't shared anything because I don't want to release anything I am not satisfied with.

I will put something up when I get home from work.  It's actually the first track I did, and used it for learning tricks and different techniques.

I'm sorry if I overstepped myself commenting on his music, it's just my opinion.  I'm sure my stuff probably pales in comparison, but that's cool too.  The intention with my comments was not to infer I could do better, just commenting on what he did.

Ah, OK then we are on the same page.  I think I didn't realize how much of his percussion was samples because a lot of those sounds could be synthesized with LSDj.

After listening to all the tracks a few times listening for the samples(lol), it's actually not as bad as my first impression.

Personally, I don't get using drum samples with LSDj simply because of how good it is for synthesizing your own drums from scratch. That's half the fun for me.

Can you point out some obvious sections?  I'm honestly not hearing anything you couldn't do with LSDj without samples other than drums and what sound like a couple chopped/glitched speech things(sounds like the HOE sample slowed down with the start shifted ahead a bit).

Are we listening to the same songs?  What samples are you guys talking about?

Sorry if my opinion stepped on some toes, this guy obviously has some fans here.  Just didn't really like what I heard.

Seriously?  OK, that was horrible.  And definitely nothing I heard that couldn't be easily done w/ 1xLSDj.

is this some new trick in LSDJ that you have found? I cannot get samples to play at the same time as wav synth stuff sad

Hmmmm... I skipped through the songs and didn't hear any samples? Sounds like he is using some drum samples on a couple tracks; is that what you are referring to?

Although on second listen, that 'Stardust' track sounds alright.

mid/downtempo dub that I'm pretty sure is 2xLSDJ, if someone could confirm that for me.

edit:cause if it's not, kraettz is a legitimate wizard.
