Sounding like a corporate gig, is changing the music. When your audience is passers-by, then it's really up to chance. Chip music is about fun. Make the music the best it can be, tell some media your passers-by count, and hope the best.

I want Florida chip musicians to contact about a music project. I want their email or twitter contacts (I don't have facebook deal with it). Anyone who lives in Florida, for example:

Lissajou
Goatslacker
DJ Hollow Life
Jay Tholen

I don't believe I have their contact so anyone can help me get that sooner, would be very helpful. The sooner I get in contact the better.

ps: if you weren't there, you missed one of the best live chip performances of all time. Luckily, there is video: http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1788258474497

This requires a facebook to view.

Feeling warm from those toasty oscillations. This is going to be awesome!

Thanks ltron. Thing I should have mentioned is the synth has been stuffed in the closet of an aspiring 1990s electronic musician; I already own it. I do like to dream yet money goes to other stuff first before I get additional MIDI in capable analog synths.

It seems to me that older gear has far less lag time, where as contemporary gear has to handle more i/o and therefore lags? heart LSDJing.

I await akira8gb's caanoo writeup.

Thanks wedanced, esc, keff, akira8gb and bleo for the fill in. I appreciate that offer, esc!

Well, what I'm looking at is a six digitally controlled analog voice MIDI in capable synth module from the middle of the 1980s. It has no sequencer and naturally no sync. It has very cool pwm and can layer up all six voices. If I had more MIDI, and MIDI chaining was happening, then I could be needing more channels. It has a sound and is MIDI capable for LGPT more so than LSDJ, samples being the necessity, rather than lobit kits. I have been wanting something to play samples entirely, making a GP2X, or other LGPT pocket friendly platform most inviting. I have been dreaming of merging that into a currently small analog synth module set up.

I've gotten offensively late in the Piggy bandwagon, offensive like I am imagining all my questions will be reacted to like someone has horrible B.O.

*pheweee*

I'm looking for a GP2X mostly as I want to run Piggy MIDI. Maybe I should try a platform until the MIDI comes up for the Dingoo? Between them all if I had to be forced to not use Piggy MIDI, is PSP the best platform? I read about trouble with the headphone/AV outs on some of the platforms? That would be a problem doing live shows if I understand correctly, you don't want audio connection to fail in a show! Will Dingoo run as a Piggy MIDI platform sometime soon?

I really feel I should be using a Micro for this, but so if you got a gift SP rock on!

Dear Smiker,

News of your GBA tracker sent me to Nonfinite's site looking for a GBA flash cart. I've got a potential GBA set up, with Nanoloop 2.3, Ez-Flash IV and NDSL, but I am going to buy a GB Micro, just to separate this set up from all the NDSL roms I can have on that set up with AceKard 2. Now all that's needed is one thing; please release the GBA tracker. Waiting.

Couldn't go. sad

Loads of moments I can't even put together properly. EH.

Playing two live shows.
Appearance of Freezedream's chipmusic album on a Genesis cart.
Never wanting to be anywhere else but at chip shows.

I remember this did come with a lot of personal problems. I have to say chip scene held me up when personally I was at the end of a rope. Thanks for seeming like the only people that gave a s--- about me in 2010. *shrugs*

It was hacked into and worthless without game development hardware IIRC.

i do this lots. it really is the best. for true.

download some alberto gonzalez stuff or like some stello doussis - shit sounds amazing through hardware.

i haven't done a ton with the program yet, but have you figured out how to rename files? they all come up as GBSPLAY or whatever, and i have to restart if i dont open the right one

If GBSPLAY was rewritten to customize names, that would work?
