I second Deflemask! Ive used it extensively for noise composition. Rhythms can get insane once you start using commands to fuck with already wacky tick/swing values. I love the Genesis FM instrument editor, and it has the ability to compose for TurboGrafx16. Its a pretty underrated tracker IMHO.

I too think your track was fantastic! I particularly enjoyed your panning-buggery and usage of samples. Great job man.

This doesn't suck more than any other EDM subsubgenre. Somebody in the comments of that video nailed it, "please don't try create more subgernes".

Yeah, when it comes to HIV, "dormant" means not yet AIDS. It can be detected very early, and if detected early enough one can make small adjustments to your lifestyle and still live a pretty good life. I know people who have been living with it for 20+ years and are still healthy.

I'm so sorry for the hell that this asshole has put you through. Hopefully there is some justice in this world, and he will waste away in a dark cell for the rest of his pathetic life. And ANYBODY who blames or shames the victims in this case should die in a fire. May you find some solace in this cunt's arrest, and may your life only bring happiness in the future.

What if I told you that in one year's time, that's 12 short months, you WILL drive a brand new car AND have lost 20kg? Don't believe me, look at this photograph. [photo] That was ME! Look at me now! And look at these keys, is that a blue and white emblem? Yes sir! I just bought a brand new B.M.W. It was easy, and YOU can do it too, just come to one fun 15 minute info session, and you'll be on your way to making MILLIONS.

And yet, their education system is better than South Africa's. Africa is a weird place, with all the Nigerian/Egyptian princes and kings leaving BILLIONS to foreigners, District 9 being a REAL place, Somalian pirates, and one of the poorest nations having better education than one of the wealthiest nations.

Been going on like that for MUCH longer! I have some mates from Zim, and their currency has been devalued to the point where it's easier to trade clothes and other things (DMG Gameboys too, I guess) for bread than to buy it. That man is a fucking monster, and it is a sad, miserable place

Re: does this suck? (16 replies, posted in Constructive Criticism)
Sorry, I don't always express myself very clearly, what I meant was that for many transitions the one part seems to end abruptly and then the next part just starts, sometimes with completely different sounds. Normally there would be some element, be it the melody, the drum pattern or the harmonic elements of the instruments that stays consistant through the transition and then change a bit later in the piece. I don't know if that makes more sense or if I am just talking out of my ass.
Love the song, can't wait to hear more tunes from you.

Re: does this suck? (16 replies, posted in Constructive Criticism)
I don't know if my criticism/opinion matters, as I am not really any good at this shit, but here goes. Also, I only have really shitty headphones ATM so I can't say anything about the levels or particular instruments.
I gave your song a few listens, and here's what I think:
- First off, I REALLY enjoy this track, and the melodic elements reminded me a LOT of the games I played as a kid, which is VERY COOL! So THANK YOU for that.
- I LOVE the art, but I think I already said that in another thread
- Plan the structure of your song (write down what you want to happen in the track, and in what order), and come back to the parts that you like best, repetition makes a song more memorable.
- A longer intro that relies more on melody, or abstract sounds, as opposed to the percussive intro you have now might be nice?
- Work a bit more on transitions, in some parts of the song it sounded like the musical equivalent of a "smash-cut", which kind of ruins the flow (for me, at least).
So, yeah, your song doesn't suck, but it can be AWESOME with a little more work.

Much like Yung Lean (have mercy) and people getting hurt because they are stupid, I can't help but watch and smile. I kind of hate it, but I really like it.

Check this shit out! Kind of like early Suicidal Tendancies + some shouty rap stuff + GameBoy. It's sort of hilarious, but also awesome! Who are they, and why have these guys never been mentioned on these forums?
