some varible clocks are powerful enough where you dont need to cut the trace.

if you connect a bunch of stuff with a molten blob or you have a cold solder joint it can cause a short. i have been using a cheap iron that came with a computer repair tools kit

the output has to override the signal going to the clock. you need a ground, +5v, and an output. I used an old ltc 1799 from getlofi without a resistor... it crashes sometimes. i have never worked with a v2 though. it may be better. if there is no clock signal i dunno what to tell you. maybe try power starving it. i have done no such thing though.

100 k will give you a more speedy bend. less control if you are trying a bend for the purpose of transposition

I did low gain's tutorial. the prepot solder job was  working ok, but now theres no sound from the prosound jack or the original headphone jack. also frontlit it. what could have went amiss? I wasnt trying to do a no sound mod...

music theroy is only valid if you split the octave into 12 tones

soldering in a new ic on to a board is unforgiving. there are millimeters between each leg. i guess i will use a razor blade between and plenty of flux. I have a yamaha djx2b ic to put back on (circuit bent project gone bad) that is a little bigger... maybe i will start there

i am not sure my soldering skills are that great yet. no amount of software will fix bad memory.
