If you see Hella's "Concentration Face" DVD, there's a dude that opens up for them using at least 6 copies of gameboy camera at once. The name always escapes me, and I'm also really bad with Japanese names. The music was atmospheric; as if you were in an arcade with 50 of the same cabinets playing at different times.

this sounds so fucking cool

Don't mean to oversimplify.. said average for a reason

You are probably right. I think that my ambitions are most likely unrealistic in regards to the current state of chipmusic.

I say these things because I have a somewhat accurate picture in my head of what it would take to make chip successful on a new level, but none of the tools/funds/accreditation I would need to make that a reality. Oh well

I am well aware that this is going to be an unpopular opinion amongst the chip community based on the personalities and lifestyles of the average chip artist/fan.

I come from what I imagine is a fairly different background than most chipbros and should probably learn to accept that

Edit: &&&&& you guys are putting words in my mouth cut that out

To summarize:
-they are a cool thing for our community and the people involved in it
-they are bad in regards to showing the rest of the world that we should be taken seriously

Oh and I may even be willing to do more in the future. No sense in not utilizing the tools before me when they are already in effect, whether or not I see it as a benefit or detriment to our music as a whole. Me not playing isn't gonna stop everybody else from doing it
