save the changes you make, it will update your email address people see, and the one mods see if we contact you via the forum...

if you need a place to host the files in a more permanent basis, let me know. would be a cinch.
i'm not opposed to this, as one of the beta people. release it

Re: Alternate feedback system? (10 replies, posted in Bugs and Requests)
i think its been updated twice. its sort of a 'thing we needed to have' rather than a 'thing we should have'. if we didn't, feedback would show up in the most random places probably. no, assuredly. same reason there is a 'general discussion' section. its an expectation in some ways.
the +/- system was suggested by thretris based off some other forum he was familiar with. with which he was familiar, i mean
there was some sort of logic to it, but i don't remember what it was fully. i think it was a means to avoid the effect a zealous individual can have on feedback. this can go in a good way, with way too much praise. or the other, with an overdoing of the criticism. +/- 1 avoided this altogether.
maybe a trinary approach, like -1, X, and +1, or something that would represent neutral or a third path. so, if your transaction was just 'eh' you can have voice.
although, the effect is the absolute same. saying nothing and voting neutral would calculate the same in the first post which is what i guess people check out most. the difference is the satisfaction of saying it, i suppose...
i dunno. a third option would make sense in that respect, but it'd just be more work. which we don't do anyways really...
problem with many binary systems: the 'positive' is a clear choice, the 'negative' is often representative of a myriad of alternatives

Re: EMS won't load on just one gameboy (7 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
is the nintendo logo scrolling at least? or, is it a black bar? or, absolutely nothing? or a scrambled logo?
make sure the EMS PCB is seated ok in its black case. EMS double-sided tapes the backs, but occasionally they slide a little bit making good contact improbable...
it sounds like an issue where its not making good contact. try tightening/loosening the gameboy's case a tiny tiny bit. one of these may bring the contacts together a little more snuggly. this dimension is the only change i can think would make a difference with a backlight installed...
and, to reiterate what kineticturtle asks, "have you tried fresh batteries?"

Re: Anyone interested in performing for Occupy Seattle? (3 replies, posted in General Discussion)
there are already people playing music for other people there. impromptu all the same, just with acoustic things. i think it would be a nice change from the wobbly tunes. you can always turn the volume down to an appropriate level
edit -- there is still the acoustic vs. amplified issue though... but, just saying that noise pollution-via-music is already happening...

Re: Volume Potentiometer on the Gameboy (14 replies, posted in Nintendo Consoles)
303 would be 30, with 3 zeros. 30k pot.
although it may be a part #, not a value marking. a coincidence, its probably 30k if its marked 303. 303b would indicate it as a linear pot (i think).
right anyone else???
(this may be marked on the schematic as well)
