or, (just thinking out loud), breakout circuits which could do EVEN MORE

sorry for the crappy looking board, it was pre-cleaning, during testing, i just happen to have had the pic handy for the editing atm

^ is (theoretically) very doable, the design was oriented towards this.  access to the source is the hurdle, as you noted...

DDS output goes to the 'breakout header', so you can send the audio wherever you want.  controlling it is the big part, having it done ROM-side is very possible if there is support from the developer.

(i posted some updates weeks ago, they didn't bump the thread, no one noticed, but some news is worth the bumping so imma do it now)

pay particular attention to a link in the 'CPLD' section.

that corner of the original case, and ours, are almost the same.  ours has a slightly harder corner to it but the added space is negligible,

the other corner (the normally rounded one) is where most the added space is picked up, and also how the back isn't rounded on ours but more boxy)

not sure if that helps...  but, basically, whatever mod would fit into the space in an original case shouldn't be a problem in ours.  there is no where in our case design where space is missing.  only areas where its been added.

^ check batteries, sounds like the batteries have gone weak

the contrast changing so much during playback sounds sort of like classic weak-battery-syndrome

Did you see my post above?

sure didn't, but i do now!

i'll see about this, tbh they sort of got pushed back because other stuff in the pipeline, but all i need to do is build them up anyways so perhaps this is very doable right now without much digging,

i'll PM/email you asap when i know more!

dude.

this is such a great album, excellent job!  its really really superb

i'm reclaiming this thread for kitsch-bent purposes

wink

there is a whole rest of cm.o to talk about other vendors, this thread is the little corner KB gets so let's stay on topic!

PM'ing wink

incidentally, kitsch-bent has recently invested in a 3d printer for prototyping purposes and i've also got some of the laywood material en route to me now,

if anything comes of this i'll post here for sure!

however, there are already a few areas i can think of which will require a soluble material from a second extruder, and getting rid of the (water) soluble material with the main material being laywood might be a bit of an issue...  not sure how it will tolerate water.  but, we'll see wink  the custom cases are one of the things i'm really wanting to get to print once i figure this thing out a bit more

Okay I can't take it any more! I am ready to start sacrificing humans to you if you make micro faceplates. EBay prices are reaching close to 30 bucks!
