i think it should cover everything, but ask more questions if you've got them!  there is a bit of community exploration of these consoles going on atm, so any questions/answers are great

Lovely shop! smile  The pricing seems fair.  You're quality looks superb and the presentation is excellent.  It is prices like these that drove me to DIY however. tongue

extra emphasis on the nice presentation, site looks excellent and is overall really pleasing to look at

edit - i think you'll find some beauty in using your own space as well, and getting away from the internet corner stores.  traffic will happen if not already

no, no.  you're right, i just explained myself wrong....

and after having thought about it for a second, the scenario in my head wouldn't happen, i sort of venture off into abstract-daydream-land when thinking about this stuff and speculating...  (although, still, maybe?  its sort of an inter-CPU issue)

i was thinking about how sympathetic tones/harmonics are created sometimes when combining frequencies, and about the possibility the more distorted wav channel could be some sympathetic response to the interplay of the clock speed and sample rate (rather than being slightly the wrong sample rate, etc...)

^ that's a good question, never really thought about the interplay of clock speed x sample bit rate before...

if it has changed the tonal qualities at all, it might be worth sticking a 5MHz clock inside a DMG and see if wav playback is bettered somehow

(this is entirely speculative and i'm just talking out of my butt)

isn't overload protection a built in feature of the computer port already though (as a standard of implementing usb)?

most, if not all, computers will disable a particular usb port if the power considerations exceed tolerances,

or does yours do something different altogether?  (sorry if i've misunderstood)

being that the gameboy runs at 5V internally, and the power converter PCB will take 5V and give 5V, i think i don't understand why running it on 5V is like dead batteries?  does yours boost current beyond the standard usb protocol?

posting that reminded me....

we've been asked a bit for a photo of the gb boy colour screen, so here it is

Justin at thursday customs is a mad man.....   such a great modder.  i asked him if I could share this picture he shared with me, and he said I could, which is really awesome of him because he looks at this accomplishment as somewhat of a goof-up (and no one likes their non-perfect stuff shared).  the image is reversed, meh, but still man, this is such a good job and i'm going to brag a little bit for you... thanks for letting me share this

*** but the best part.........  he changed out the crystal to the same type as the DMG and the pitch issues are gone!  it seems to be playing back audio in pitch with an original console now, just needed the clock mod.  great find, i'm sure every single gb boy that went out will soon have its crystal changed haha (gb boy colour doesn't clock the same rate, more to be discovered with this)

him sending the picture just sort of struck me as super nice and it made me say 'yessss' out loud which is always great, and i'm personally impressed by what he accomplished, and really wanted to share.

i don't think we make any parts which would directly relate to attempting this mod,

but if you happen to think of some way we can help with that, let me know!

puleeeeeeeese do that.  that would be in the tops of real (not photoshoped) mods ever done i'd think.  i mean, if both the thumbsticks are functional somehow...  no brainer.

i'm rooting for you

root, root!

isn't the end of pause, play? (play-pause-play-pause loop)

there is a dremel bit thats made for removing grout from between tile

works wonders on stuff like this (more heavy duty materials).  but it works REALLY well so keep good control and don't let the dremel get away from you.

if you go to a decent hardware store that has dremel parts, they should have two or three sizes of this style bit.  its my 'go-to' right now.  love it.
