imo, the rudeness and hostility in the customer service arena are worth not using one.  forget about support...  don't think about asking about enhancements you might want to make to your unit (even a LED color change, anathema!)...  and NEVER email directly and ask about mac support.

too much ire.

this was only my personal experience.  feels like buying a product and having someone pissed off you're using it.

on the other hand.  nice and compact.  but the stuff Jellica mentions is true...  i've not had much success using it with goattracker either.  dropped notes, just some general weirdness.

i think overall if there were more support for the line (both from the people who make them, mac stuff....  even VST development) it would be a better product.  i just never got beyond this, and found myself with too much frustration, which after trying to seek help from them was just compounded in some big ways.  seriously....  who answers an email about virtual machines and VSTs with a threat that if i use the device in the way i've explained (in a virtual machine) i'm voiding the warranty (period. end of email.).

also, trying to get the case to dye a particular color will be really tricky.  its sometimes hit and miss with rit dye, not sure if its because the substrate isn't organic (like a t-shirt, which is what rit dye is typically for), or its something to do with the acetone.  either way, some colors are really hard if not impossible (for me, at least)

one thing i found which helps was to go to rits website and use their color guide/recipe thing (you choose a color, it will tell you how to mix their colors to get it).  sometimes the mixes look WAY off, but amazingly they dye the way they were supposed to color.  but not always.

google how to dye yo-yos with this method.  there seem to be a bunch of tutorials for doing that online, and its the same process

also take note acetone is a toxic chemical and could be detrimental to your health.  work in a well ventilated area with respiratory protection, and be weary that when you add acetone to already near-boiling water, the acetone lowers the boiling temp and the water will start to boil, you might get splash-back.

so, add acetone to water, not water to the acetone.  i've read supposedly that the material you pour into is the one which tends to splash back.

i love rit dying, you've just got to get the hang of it first.  once you do you can get some remarkable results with no noticeable weakening in the plastic.

the main drawback to it (for me) is that it only permeates the top layer of plastic, so you could potentially scratch below the colored layer exposing the original color.  then again, paint does the same thing when scratched.

^ you aren't.  if they catch you.

they caught me and made me sign a legal document to never do things like that again!  yikes

its very sketchy on ebay.  they are incredibly inconsistent in the application of their rules.

any more wii u people now?

would love to expand my list and play some of you suckers

the DMG CPU revisions won't affect the ability to run tables.

the revisions do affect the wav channel however.  not sure the particularities of this, other than this is where the differences are key to some people.  most avoid a -B CPU with a DMG-CPU-02 PCB layout.  i think thats the 'iffy' combo.

could be entirely wrong though!  imo, its all part of the equipment itself, the consoles which really fuck up the sound in some unexpected way are more of a gem to me even if its just sitting down trying to 'tame' them

midines scandel is the silver cord running through chipmusic it seems like.  as far as 'internet world' goes, there has always been a midines thread like this.  just amazing...

yet, a lot of people (myself included) got theirs in a couple weeks even at the height of the (pretty heated) thread over on 8bc.  that inconsistency in order fulfillment is perhaps the worst of it.

best of luck, and PLEASE if you find a solution to this let other people know

(i envision a chip maestro 'reaction' too if dude doesn't hurry the hell up, its gotten to be head scratching now)

please use only one thread for this

either one will work for that purpose,

its really just an issue of what type of button layout you like.  and color, black or white.

i'm partial to the f100 myself

are you looking for the f100 or f200 model?

or, do you care?

(i ask only because people who might have one will be wondering if their console is the right type)
