Oh Damn, you're in Garden Grove, I'm in Lake Forest. I'll pm you...
EDIT: pm'd! In fact, I have run FL10 on the very machine I mentioned! It can run about 24-32 tracks with several plugins a piece.

My last laptop was an HP Pavilion g4, 14", 4G RAM, for $350. It ran about 24 tracks of your typical DAW with plug-ins. They might be closer to the range you're looking for for a used machine. A couple hundred is really pushing it, but you also can't go wrong with a 4/5 year old Dell, my inspiron still runs Reason 5 nicely after 8 years. Good Luck!
Welcome to the wonderful world of Montessori.
Ain't that the truth. Spent K-8 in montessori, and now I go to an alternative college.
Is it just me or is that kinda annoying?
No, not at all. This is the exact aesthetic I don't have the taste for when it comes to chiptune.
LSDJ on a touch screen is annoying. values jumping all over the place. Actually, anything not designed for a touch screen on a touch screen is annoying.
This is too true. Any user of multiple android devices realizes this. Trackers and button-mashing go hand in hand. I'm using a PowerA Mini wired controller, I don't believe it's driverless. I'll have to check that emulator out. Sounds super-versatile. Does it have GB linking support for multiple lsdj instances?
Ooh, tap tempo is a good one. I just installed some random free emulator on my android tab for lsdj and multitouch was messed up on it, so it made value editing pretty much impossible. Is there an emulator you'd recommend? Are you using bluetooth to connect?

Hey hey piggy brothers and sisters,
I've been looking into ways to control renoise with an xbox controller and stumbled upon LGPT as an alternative. I'm just diving into W32 now. Due to the fact that a wired usb gamepad has more buttons than the default LGPT mapping, I was curious 1) if any of you homies use a usb gamepad and 2) if you use any mappings for the extra controls. At this point, I've assigned the right thumbstick to control page navigation, and I've mapped the Y button to the new pattern assignment, and B to delete a pattern input. Any idea/comments?
peace to all
What's good ya'll,
I'm damelday, I've known of the scene for a good long while. I've had quite bit of experience with Renoise (among other DAWs - Live, Reason, Reaper) and I'm looking to get elbow deep in LSDJ (via BGB, saving for a Thursday Customs DMG) and LGPT (W32). If you want a taste of my current jams, you can find them at soundcloud/damelday. I'm finding a ton of great tunes and info by the members here. Can't wait to meet you all and begin the journey into the bleeps and bloops!
