I love you guys.

I didn't think this cart had led.

USB activity indicator. Low-bright neon orange.

Well my Q is so i can mod the drag n derp to light up when i turn it on.

If you do that, you'll void your warranty... more on general principle than anything else; I hate blue LEDs and I can't understand why you'd go out of your way to add them to something.

Gooby, pls

No.

I only play Nümberwang, sorry. (und Wangernümb. Rotieren das Brett, bitte!)

I did do a post where I said how much it is. Just sayin'.

PS: it's $shinty-six.

Oi that is quite the expense for some colour matching. Who knows, maybe I'll be able to drop the cash on that at some point.

Somebody's sarcasm detector isn't working. Paint your own cart wink

Seriously, getting injection moulding done in custom colours/small quantities is Not A Thing. Sorry!

Frostbyte wrote:

hey abrasive, what would I have to do to you to get one in a white cart or a translucent blue cart? ;D

you would have to buy a cart shell in said colour (or paint one), cut the hole for the USB port, and then send it to me so I could take your cart apart and perform the difficult task of moving that circuit board from one into the other. i charge a small fee for this ($200 or so).

Too much awesomeness at one time. First genMDM and now this. You guys are putting me in debt! :3

that's exactly what little-scale and i were planning the other night. how did you figure it out?

This is one of those projects that I would love to see on Kickstarter to try and get it out there sooner.
:-(

It's not waiting on money - I've been saving over the last couple of years, and I'll be scaling up the batch sizes as cashflow permits.

It's waiting on the last few parts of the manufacturing process to come together; it's mostly out of my hands at this point.

You will possess tokens of value ("beer tickets"), or some representation thereof in non-physical form will be credited to you by an institution created to possess beer tickets on your behalf.

You will then cause the transmission, preferably in electronic form, of a suitable quantity of said beer tickets as to satisfy my desire for beer tickets relatively to my feelings about the effort (and further beer tickets) invested in melting together a number of ceramic/metal/plastic assorted chunks of matter in order to fashion a desirable arrangement through which to pass charge carriers (preferably electrons). Such transmission, of course, being made in my general direction, such that I may receive said beer tickets and provide said satisfaction.

At this point, generally, your request will be sent to the chocolate factory, where one (1) gnome will place a desirable arrangement of assorted chunks of matter into another chunk of matter, before dispatching futher chunks of matter arrayed so as to convey the first arrangement of matter chunks along such a path as to generally decrease its distance to you as time progresses, until such time as such a distance reaches a substantially microscopic value ('epsilon'), and you shall thenceforth be happy forever and ever after.

(Too many patent applications this week, sorry.)

When you say directly, does that mean in person, or your site/here?

I mean on the internets, in some form.

I'll probably sell a bunch of the first batch directly; they'll also be available from one or two US-based distributors.

unless otherwise requested (and still maybe not then unless a bunch of people ask), it'll be 4.6.2_stable on the cart.

you could always take a few versions and drag and drop them, of course smile

The next batch will be 100 units.
There are several manufacturing steps to organise at that scale, and I'll be working towards that when I return from Egypt in late April.

I can't promise a date at this point, sorry!
Definitely worth waiting for, though wink

edit: no preordering system yet either. hang tight!

yeah, there are a few in the wild now. criterion for being offered one was playing a freaking awesome set at Blip.
