I'm hoping to fund it out of my own pocket - which will mean the first few batches will be hand-made by yours truly, I believe.

PhD + moving house = no time at the moment!

I'll have some time over the Christmas break, which should be enough to finish off the firmware. Then it's just a matter of sorting out manufacturing... ("just", heh).

To be fair, this is almost 100% abrasive's work. I just like spruking his efforts! smile I'm just trying to help where I can I guess.

To be continued.

It will work with LittleFM if the gentleman is so inclined to extend his software smile

working on the firmware RIGHT NOW.

ordering system isn't finished yet, so no ordering of no kind.

They're coming!

I need to finish the firmware upgrade feature and sort out plastics. Hoping to have a first batch out in October.

The drag'n'derp is still moving - I've been ridiculously busy at work, so it's not moving very fast just now, but it is moving.

I'm gathering resources for batch manufacturing, and I still need to add "drag'n'derp" firmware upgrades - I know it's a bit more of a wait, but future-proofing is worth waiting for!

At this stage I'm aiming to get a first batch out by the end of October.

No.

It's heaps IRL.

IRL, it's heaps heaps. It's so heaps heaps, that if you heaps had one, you could heap while you heaped. Do a hell actual purchase (when available).

How much are they and do you take pre-orders?

They'll be under $100US. No pre-orders until manufacturing is sorted out, so sometime after I get back from New York (June).

If all goes to plan, I am going to play off one of the prototypes as well.

Everything always goes to plan. Always.

PS. bringing a prototype to Blip for people to play with.

But I need those! For making carts!

YES! TENKIOOS! FESTIES!

The problem with this cart, and "jose"carts as well is that they can't switch out bank 0. For that reason hey can't do multiple ROMs, since each program is dependent on having it's own "bank 0".

CAPTAIN SPECULATION STRIKES AGAIN.

I will neither confirm nor rule out the presence of a bank remapping feature in the final cart, at this point.

I think this is a clever photoshop fake. I have it on the very best authority that yellow donkey kong country carts do not have USB ports.

I have photographic evidence that 10k's gameboy is shopped together from a fat man eating a banana and a house-brick.
