I'm definitely a big obsessed fan of this chipmonstrosity. IDK where all the weird reaction to the word "fandom" is coming from... I guess I've been living under an internet-culture isolation cell all this time.

I'm definitely a fanatic, shoo'... Pshaw...

Now i feel so lonely ;-;

No you're not smile
I too didn't feel kinda offended by the term "fandom". It's true that I have other things in my life and that I listen to a lot of other things, I play in noise, mathrock, metal bands... but when it comes to chiptune, I'm also very obssessed with it ! I follow releases with great interest, spend much of my day listening to people's tracks, to fix my hardware which is never working, etc. So "fandom" may be suitable.

Anyway, glad that so many responded to your call.

Many thanks guys !

Yeah we like rather vintage equipment for bass, and simple drums, not so much the megapowerfulcompressed sounds.
And all the visuals are indeed original creations by our VJ smile

I don't think it can be changed.

Hi guys !

We've just released our first video :

This is a live version of a track from our next EP, out soon on Pterodactyl Squad.
Real bass and drums, and true video projection (no video added in post-production).

We hope you'll enjoy it.

This track is quite simple, hope it helps.

Hi guys,

So I sadly found out only today that PAL NES, even if they can work with MidiNES and other NES audio tools (like PR8), are totally out of tune (and out of tempo) because of the 50Hz/60Hz issue. I know that I could maybe use pitch effects and/or time stretching tools but it doesn't satisfy me, and would be complicated since I've been working on a liveset with 2 NES and live instruments.

Long story short, I'm willing to trade one PAL NES, working perfectly, audio modded (2xRCA outputs on the back), lockout chip disabled, with a NTSC NES. It can be not modded, without cables or controller, just functionning is fine.

You'd be able to use the PAL NES as a single tool for small livesets or any other use as long as you don't need to add other instruments with melodies or tempo-dependent. I admit that the possibilities with it are quite limited but it can be fun to mess with it.

I'll be adding some pictures tomorrow.

I'm also willing to buy one if no one wants the PAL NES, at a reasonable price since shipping costs and imports duties will already cost me around 50$.

Thanks.

This is what I use with my MidiNES. Light, reliable, 8ch, fully programmable, and the manual is attached to the damn thing.

Highly recommended.

Sorry for bumping this old thread. My english is not so good so I couldn't find the answer to a very simple question : in this MMT-8, is there any way to "import" MIDI files to it, rather than programming them on the hardware ?
I'm looking for any hardware on which I can load midi files that can be played and sent too the MidiNES, if you guys have further information on this.

It seems that you've already grasped non only the basics but also the principal functionnalities. Your tests are very nice.
I don't feel like I can give you any advice because I'm not much skilled at FT (like virt or kfaraday for example), but practice should keep you moving forward.

Some things you could try :
- visit the Famitracker forums if you want to dig deeper in it.
- download the .ftm of famitracker artists you like, I find that looking at someone else's (especially a skilled one's) way of composing and using commands helps a lot.

Anyway, keep up the good job.

I can't figure out if Shnabubula (and this album in particular) is too mainstream to be talked about, or if no one knows (and/or cares) about what he does.
Personally it's one of my favorite jams.

you can use your audio in the rca and plug it in a mono channel on a mixer (with a rca to 1/4 adapter). This is what I do but the hum can be noisy !

Assuming there's a RCA output, right ? Cause on mine (PAL) I only have one mixed video/audio output. From your experience is the hum annoying for recording only or is it sufficiently noisy to be heard playing live ?
I think I'll be going for the hardware mod anyway.
