That's another thing I need help with; finding other Chiptuners in my area.
And yeah, bars are definitely out of the question.

Is there somewhere I can go for tips on how I can find small venues/shows in my area? Or just. Anything to help me get off my ass.
Even though I'm 14, I'd still like to do small shows and stuff, so..

Help? ;~;

Clarified title, lb

Any time I think of a name every one always thinks it's all deep or weird or something. But I just wanted to add a few, if you can't make one:

Sky Line
Artificial Sound waves
I Became A Chiptune
Nuclear Chiptunes

That's all I can come up with right on the spot.

Has anyone mentioned that there is no way to change your user name on this site.  You will have to make a new account.

Maybe that's what they want to do. XD I was actually surprised that Legacy wasn't taken. Everywhere else I try that, I end up having to resort to my artist name Tilt, or my Minecraft uername.

That being said, I do have to agree with whoever said it. Thinking of your own username is a LOT more fun than when you ask someone to make one for you.

There are also name generators online that you can use, if you just absolutely cannot think of something original. I guess those are technically original.

If there's a Chiptune community in Garland Texas then someone should tell me about it, because I sure as hell don't know about it. Damn countryside..

There's a LOT wrong with SOME solo-laptop performances, but nothing wrong with others.

Step 1: press function (fn) key with other button to disable keyboard
Step 2: press play with mouse
Step 3: act like you are cuing shit up with keyboard, playing samples in real time, etc
Step 4: ???
Step 5: profit

Woah, this guy has it all figured out.

Aha, but the only way I could even think of beginning to do a song live would be to do it from a mobile platform. I just (just meaning like literally an hour ago) finally got my psp to run on custom firmware, and immediately copied over my version of LSDJ and could FINALLY use it with controls I understood. Freaking emulators make it harder to learn the button combinations, like holding sel and whatever else to enter live mode (having issues with live mode). But if you're using a computer, and all you're using is a tracker like FamiTracker or SunVox, I doubt you'd get much of a "live" performance out of it (yay restating previous points)

Dunno if anyone's posted this yet, but:

Any examples of your music? As a fellow famitracker using teen, I'd like to see what you've come up with yo.

FamiTracker  song in specific: https://soundcloud.com/dade_robison-tilt/14-dades-theme
SoundCloud in general: https://soundcloud.com/dade_robison-tilt

Also, if I wanted to share my music here, should I upload it somewhere else (i.e. Soundcloud/bandcamp etc.), and link it, or can I upload it here when starting a thread (like at the FamiTracker forum).

Hey guys, I guess I'll introduce myself as well. I've been making chiptunes since I was around 11, when I found FamiTracker while searching for god knows what. In the past 3 years I've worked with FamiTracker, LSDJ (lol no songs here wtf), and Ableton Live 9 (I'd include Audaciity, but I don't consider it a music making program. XD). I own a GBC/GBA but lack the funds to get a usb smart card because I'm 14 and a jobless teen. Yaaay no money! So.. yeah. e.e All I ever do when I'm not at school is play minecraft and make music. It's pretty much my only hobbie (loserftw). Thanks for listening to my annoying intro whatever, and I'll be seeing you around.

Edit: I also used SunVox to a GREAT extent.

love sunvox. ;~;
