I only write songs in prime number tempos

And don't forget that funny BonziBuddy.

Well, it's (as far as i know) impossible to send a note like 60,5. Since you don't have half bits etc.

It would be theoretically possible to send pitch bed info to lsdj and adjust the fine tuning of pulse 1. (Thinking out loud here)
But I don't think that's included in the arduinoboy version smile

Would be a cool idea tho.

There was a big chiptune party there the 29th of December.
I played there, it was fun! It was part of the CCC congress, we came with a bunch of other people...

But then again, that's history sad

Before possibly wasting your time/money, could you please look inside, take a photo of the board, and note what is written on the chips that are on there?

Unfortunately, the short answer is no. EPROM chips typically require a high voltage (around 12V, compared to the 5V for that the GB is using.) to be present, and that has to be generated somehow. Aside from the practical difficulty of doing this (This might be done with an extra adapter board sitting between the flasher and the cart containing a voltage boost circuit for example.) it might be impossible to this programming in-place on the cartridge. For example, the programming pin may not be routed to the cartridge connector, or it may be shared with one of the other pins, and connected in parallel with the memory bank controller chip in such a way that the MBC would be destroyed.

Sure! I made pics of it before for another flash cart thread:

And shame about the eprom, but it was a wild idea that I didn't expect to work anyway wink

ah yes, makes sense. since you can only select a few different tempo settings...
It's not synthcart, but paul slocums music driver program, which is basically the same tongue
(and quite hard to write music in)

Oh, but!
Ctrix made a modplug plugin to write music for this program!

anyway, yay!
new stuff to play with big_smile

Do I smell a compilation coming up?

(See what I did there...)

(Please don't make a pooping compo...)

I believe  it's from rev8.
Those blobs where a much cheaper way to make IC's back then. You could just print them on the pcb, and cover it with epoxy.

It was cheap, and harder for people to copy the technique. (Chinese knock-offs)

I used something like that once in a song, where I took timestretching a bit too far. I'll see if I can post a sample of that.

Much fun to be had with those samples.

I'm afraid the crystals cracked.
No way to fix it, the leak will spread further..

It's gone.
Rip screen.

I'd stand all the random stuff in gen disc. If there was a way to remove it from recent posts. Since that is what I check the most.
