Fun fact:
A friend just said he had a lynx, and I thought "is there a way of making music on a lynx, and how does it sound?"
So I googled, and came to this thread.
It sounds cool, I like the bassy sound of this machine. The subtle decays.
Yes, this machine has a lot of potential.
I might try to give the chipper a shot, something new

sorry, i should have been more clear. I want to try to make your buttons. I just looked at what i said, and i guess i never mentioned it was the painted buttons i wanted info on. Usually when i see them painted underneath they don't seem to be quite so colorful. I can probably figure out how to make bubbles, but that also adds to the appeal of the look for me. was it intentional?
It was somewhat intentional.
i wanted them a bit rough, with some splashes etc. the amount of bubbles was unexpected, but quite cool.
The important part is picking the right paint

I don't fully understand how you did this, but i love the look. They are so colorful and interesting to look at. I tried to figure out how to make a coherent question and failed. can you give precise painting steps?
Basically, it's a clear case, that was painted from the inside. I did a short explanation earlier in this thread here:

Also, can we get some more pics of your wood that kitsch mentioned?
oh my...
(I'll see if i can get some more detailed pics later)

TimBob, the maestro of perfect color combos.
middle row on the right, the bluish one. what colors did you use?
Haha thanks.
It's a fade from purple to blue to transparent grey, with some blue splatter.
The buttons are transparent painted with yellow and green and bubbles. giving it a bit of a marble texture inside.
I just noticed I forgot to add a screen protector to this one. But a clear one would look good, because of the transparency.

Thanks all!
is the top row middle column one (black/white/orange) tapered slightly towards the bottom, or am i just seeing things?
I think that's just a shadow/perspective thing. It's a white kitsch bent case.
Painted with a grey fade.
Ar u selling any of them.
I am!

So let me know if you're interested.
OH. MY. GOD. Bottom-left. I consider it a sin to taint the appearance of a whiteboy. I WAS WRONG, that is honestly the greatest DMG I've ever seen. Well done, Timbob. Well done.
I didn't drill any holes, so you can restore it to factory settings
It's hard to see the backlight on this one. But it's an EL panel, and looks like this:

Seriously, he's the man you want when it comes to reverb.
The guy rented a church to record his songs.
There was a topic a while back where he explained some stuff.

Re: Far left LED on ASM Density backlight not working? (8 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
you can probably resolder the led. if you're a bit handy with stuff like that..
peel off the diffuse layer, so you can access the led, and try fixing it with a bit of reflowing.
or buy a new one

Which colour backlight did you get? And did you remove all the protective foils? Those can give a weird effect when left on.
I don't see how a differen power point could effect the image..

did you do a lot of stuff in lsdj to change the songs?. some seemed different and much longer. cool!
well done & thx!
Most of the middle part are unchanged, I did change some intros and outros for better mixing.
Also, I didn't do any stuff like eq, compression or reverb afterwards since it was a mix and all. So that might have changed some of the sound
And thank you

Actually, I don't even have a drivers license, I just wanted to be funny and literal.
But I failed, because now I have to confess I don't know how to drive at 31.
The end.
