I am quite curious where you found the monitor/screen you used in the C64..
I'm modding one myself at the moment and i'd love to add a screen like that as well.
The computer you use to compose your songs on has no influence whatsoever in how the songs will sound when you use a transfer cart in the end.
You could compose on your microwave if you can program it that way... in the end you will play in from a gameboy, so that's what counts.
-edit-
The system you use to write your music on does sound different than the gameboy perhaps. So if you spend a lot of time tweaking your instruments to sound just right, it may sound different when you finally play it on real gameboy hardware.. But this will be the case for a pc, a mac, or a wii. or whatever you use... Most people won't even hear it tho.
so yeah.
just write on whatever works best for you, and try to get the transfer cart early so you can hear it on real hardware and maybe add some tweaks.
the green back looks quite good with the transparent front.
works very well
Flip a coin...
they are exactly the same, but one has a wire already connected, and the other doesn't
if you are fond of doing the wiring yourself, pick the non one.
otherwise, get thursday's kit.
It's not like one will give you better wubs than the other.
I saw one at an auction site a while back, but someone else bought it, and this message is completely useless to you.
but good luck anyway.
this was a double post.
even more useless.
I've got one.
someone gave it to me as a gift.
And I use it.
and people seem to think i'm cool.
mind you, i'm from holland, so we might be a little behind in style and all.
But i do agree that it can sometimes be annoying when looking for gameboys on certain websites.
great idea!
combined with Kitsch' silicon transparent start/select, you could make any colour you want
sometimes lines are just broken... maybe somewhere in the brown flatcable.
if the soldering iron or heatgun won't work, maybe you're just out of luck?
Unless someone has some more tips...

This man understands.
Jonge, dat zeg ik toch al de hele tijd.
arduinoboy.

(in english, to be less rude)
In theory, you could do it with just those nanoloop usb connectors, since al you really need is a clock signal and you're golden.
maybe an extra DMG-07 to split the signal multiple ways, or just an extra nano-usb connector..
Coolio! I grabbed TXY9LN4RY679
I wanted to look into the whole midi-iPhone setup anyway, so this would be cool
Aah, pink carts
They are cute.
I've got one as well.
Go buy it! And make your life complete.
hmm, even a link port cover.
well done there.
Like.
