Radiograffiti presents:

RGV-003
CCDM - "7" Of Doom"

Radiograffiti release page: http://www.radiograffiti.org/ccdm-7-of-doom

A. Dirsh Birdies (Hell Cry)
B. Dodecahedron In C# Minor

Next in Radiograffiti's release queue comes the debut 7" release from Chicago-native CCDM, 7" Of Doom

Transplanted to the Northwoods of Wisconsin, only to return to his native Chicago, CCDM (Christopher Persson) creates an Experimental Breakcore world with a landscape illuminated by Intelligent Dance Music. Unconventional? Yes. But when a classically trained child musician begins to dabble in digital, there is typically no other way.

After aquiring Cubase at the age of 16, CCDM spent the next nine years growing increasingly more obsessed with synthesis and computer generated sound. The culmination of those years of efforts was heard on Rusga, his first release in 2005. Subsequent years saw additional releases, including Cancer and Juxtaposition in 2007, Ill Kill Chill Pill, Ballisticore and Fletz in 2009 and 7″ Of Doom in 2010 on Radiograffiti.

A chance meeting at a Castle Tacoskull event in Chicago exposed CCDM to the underground scene in his native city. The frozen winters in his childhood Wisconsin home allowed him to prepare, if unknowingly, for each additional electronic challenge that comes his way. You’ve been warned.

As far as the actual music? We're skirting genres here, blowing past classification, even in 2010. Like noise? No you don't. Which is fine, because this is musical. Like music? Too fucking bad, as this could be considered unlistenable to the untrained ear. Radiograffiti listeners will know this is Quality and the B-Side is (always) better. That's all there is and all you need to know. This release also introduces the talent of Nova!Cain, Radiograffiti's new resident artist/illustrator from Milwaukee.

Here's what's included:

- Limited (300 copies), Black, CCDM 7"
- Two CCDM "slogan" stickers
- Download credit for your preferred file format of the 7" Of Doom via the CCDM Bandcamp profile

The bandcamp download also includes a bonus .torrent file containing the Renoise file of Dirsh Birdies (Hell Cry). Go nuts.

That's actually not the first time it's been asked for/mentioned. It's something we may consider, but there are large risks involved in such a thing. It's really great knowing people give a shit enough to ask for it though. It certainly keeps us going!

Oh, btw...it's out NOW: http://www.radiograffiti.org

That was just lame.

yallz are gonna think im retarded but honestly: try having sex within an hour before your set. it rules, and your show will rule. and if it fails... at least you had awesome sex (unless you fucked that up to.)

An hour? Try 10 minutes beforehand.

Then slam a beer.

BULLETPROOF.

Thanks! wink We lulz pretty hard when we hear stories like that. Gotta keep people on their toes, you know?

A heads-up: Antenne Record Shop (Netherlands) just sold out. We're in the process of restocking, in the meantime visit Toolbox Records (France) - http://www.toolboxrecords.com/en/label/Radiograffiti

For those in Germany: If you don't want to pay high shipping costs contact http://www.adnoiseam.net/ and tell them to re-stock the Radiograffiti 7"s. They carry the Stagediver "I" release, but not the others. Hell, even if you're not from Germany and you're bored, email 'em.

Oh, and be sure to contact any store/distro listed on our front page if you cannot find what you are looking for. Sometimes they either need to restock or update their website.

Also, information on the shirts coming very, very soon.

To everyone overseas:

These two stores are now carrying this, and other fine Radiograffiti releases:

Antenne Record Shop (Netherlands) - http://antenne-tilburg.nl/antenne/

Toolbox Records (France) - http://www.toolboxrecords.com/en/label/Radiograffiti

Enjoy! (?)

You may want to check your power supply or the audio circuit with a multimeter. It's possible that your supply "works" but fucks up the audio. This was an issue with my first amiga and didn't really think of it until you said the caps were clean. There's a simple way to test for this/should be some instructions on aminet.

Really? It's because he didn't want to spend money on a plane ticket? Really? ... This gets filed under who cares. His thing, his rules.

ON another note, we all know internet voting turns into a popularity contest and doesn't necessarily reflect quality work.

I personally thought the whole idea was pretty fucking stupid, don't get the wrong idea.

@Awol: The Hexadeci release date will be sometime during the first week of December and pre-orders will be taken November 1st thru the 10th. Pre-orders will receive a specially-made item limited to about 100 or so and will also get the 7" about a week or two before the actual release.

If anyone wants to stay up-to-date with info surrounding Radiograffiti, related artists and vinyl releases that are *NOT* listed online, go to http://www.radiograffiti.org and sign-up for the mailing list on the right sidebar.

True story: dispyz was (is) in first place in the remix competition Trent just had. Unfortunately for Ty, Trent decided that the ratings didn't count on the last day of judging and instead picked a random shit tune. The winner was based in Cali so Trent wouldn't have to front money for a plane ticket.

Do you have a link to this evidence?

Well, I guess it depends on what you would like evidence for. Clearly it was never proven that they didn't want to pay for a flight but the odds are stacked against them when the winner is an LA resident and this: http://twitter.com/trent_reznor/status/25833041551 is posted the day after the deadline. No bitterness whatsoever but that winning tune was complete crap. Personally, I feel that the runner-up should have won if there had to be a winner of the two. Evidence for non-flight winners (LA area) is in the terms and conditions.

The real kicker here is that the ratings were ignored because of all the "down-voting", and because Ty was #1 rated for three days in a row people thought he was the "down-voter." My inbox was full of "hey fuck you asshole" and "I'm reporting you" along with a few "I'm down-voting you for down-voting my track", but the fact of the matter is that if you click on the RG avatar and look at "highest-ranked" you'll see that the ONLY track Ty voted on was his own (who wouldn't vote on their own tune?).

Anyway, Ty has recently been dethroned and stands at the 4th highest ranked. Oddly enough, the vote slider is automatically set at "1."

That's just gross!

A proper Radiograffiti 7" is coming, and apparently it will sound like this: http://www.radiograffiti.org/ccdm-7-of-doom/

I ask you, is anyone else in the chiptune scene playing the computer keyboard along with his music? smile

Start getting excited, people!
