I love New Jack Swing.
You get smacked.
Early thrash. S.O.D. / Anthrax etc.
Overthruster uses a gameboy. Wait, no he doesn't even use that anymore. He's never used an Amiga as far as I know.
And who the fuck was talking about Game Boy Threads?
Is it a rule that every amiga breakcore thread must end in violence?
And who was talking about violence before you mentioned it?
Conversely, people like fake friendly people on a more consistent basis than fake angry people, if only so they don't have to think as often about the yawning bleakness that is everyone collective insecurity".
That wasn't neccesary... and makes you appear quite ignorant..
@Mono: You won't find what you are looking for here. Just a few who would rather focus on being butthurt, verbalizing it, and going on to make snarky comments on a message board thread not meant for them in the first place. I'd imagine it's best to focus on the cool idea behind the original post instead of taking issue with words. Jellica certainly didn't have an issue with it.
@The Butthurt: Move on there's nothing to see here.

The main question is this: Why the hell were you at a Thrill Kill Kult show? That's no one's fault but your own, buddy.
As far as I know I haven't seen any violence here.
Is it a rule that every gameboy thread must end in fake happiness/blind pacification?
On a related note: go to a stagediver show. I went to one where out of nowhere someone gave him a knife (!!!) and, as if in unison, blasts of anvil-sized kick drums were ripping the speaker cones as he started stabbing his Amiga with said knife. This of course after whipping the room into a frenzy. Pure impromptu entertainment. I'm pretty sure E.S.C. was there.
*THAT* was violent.
Please excuse Akira, Mono...he's a little too close to it all.
@Akira: He would/has been confrontational IRL. Ty has told me stories about his protests/physical altercations and as far as I know you throw weight around here on this board more than anyone else. Just sayin'. There's nothing wrong with knowing what you want from a project. Demoscene elitism is the same as Gameboy fetishism. Blah, blah, blah. End of derail. Response? PM me. This thread deserves to not be derailed.
@E.S.C.: No they haven't which might explain the instant hostility toward Mono. I actually had a chance to hear Ty's tune for this and I think Mono didn't use those to describe the project because it sounded like none of it. It was fast and certainly lo-fi but almost defied the genres mentioned, for as cliche as I sound. HA! If what Ty was listening to yesterday was a rejected tune for this, then yes it was Amiga Gabber and it fucking sucked. Complete laziness.
Oh, and I know what CC's project is, and this isn't it. Unless it is. More about that soon.
Regardless, I'm really looking forward to this. Amigacore forever.
Try micromusic.net
<- will play for beer.
Fair enough. I wasn't aware.
It seems a list might be useful for several reasons. Why make one big non-show when most would rather have a full weekend of several smaller ones?
We'll start:
-Ty and myself (still want to have a 7" release show in NYC/need a ride however)
well, i wont be driving out now, so likely albino ghost monkey and stagediver wouldnt either...talk to facundo though, he was mentioning trying to do something
Totally sucks. Ty was excited as all hell and so was I.
Another question:
What was so bad on this thread that made an entire venue/promoters so butthurt? As far as I know no one came out and said "Fuck you. You suck and I want you to eat my dick because you suck. Go die.", yet a select few are acting like *everyone* said those words exactly. Repeatedly.
I'll ask again: Is chip music always like this? I don't come from this side of the tracks.
Heads would be rolling if I would have purchased my plane ticket before-hand like I was going to do.
Do NOT for a second put blame on anyone being a "hater"/too negative/not embracing the scene/etc etc This was fishy from the beginning, and anyone who would let a few words on a fucking messageboard stop a show needs a SERIOUS dose of reality.
My questions are these: Did anyone actually get a plane ticket paid for? Did anyone pay for a plane ticket? Let's hear the horror stories.
On a different note: I guess the Radiograffiti record releases will be happening here in the Midwest now. Thank fucking christ.
The venue has called us in to do an emergency meeting concerning the fact that they had no clue this kind of controversy was happening.
They are worried about the venue's reputation and JC productions also has expressed concerns regarding turnout caused by poor reception of the event.
I call serious BS.
I agree with the negativity being a tad bit too much. Just remember this: Sticks and Stones.
becuase people are getting paid to play
No they are not. (?)
That's the first I've heard of this.
