If you're asking others for suggestions maybe you should reconsider getting a tattoo. Not being a dick but too many people get terrible tattoos that don't mean anything to them.

While I'm on an honest streak, the pacman idea sounds terrible but don't listen to me if it actually means something to you. Basically anything game related doesn't sound worthwhile, look at all the terrible gamer tattoos online.

i agree with all of this except the one i have in mind which i'm not telling anyone till i get it

Let me rephrase that...Pwntendo and some videos (youtube) of We Are High Speed and Level One: Where Am I got me into it.  A friend of mine LOVES your stuff so I heard it quite often.  If I'm to pass the word onto others that are newly interested in chipmusic I usually suggest Venetian Snares or you since that's what did it for me.

PS: This thread is straight up slammin'

haha awesome
my dad did the where am i video haha

This is the first of two fundraiser events for April's Ultra Mega Awesome Extreme 5 music showcase, which will include 20 minute live sets from 15 insane (local and touring) acts, live projections and a professional sound system in a fully transformed space.
Please come out, show your support and help make it possible!

Entertainment includes two awesome out-of-towners:
...
Saskrotch (Chicago, IL) [http://www.myspace.com/saskrotch]

Musician, double label manager, and self proclaimed King of Chipbreak, Nigel Shields, aka Saskrotch, is a lovely young man from the village of almost-Chicago.

KKrusty (Chicago, IL) [http://www.kkrusty.com/]

Kkrusty (Mike Taylor) began making electronic music in 2004.
After experimenting with many styles, he discovered chiptune (music made using or emulating the sounds of outdated video game and computing hardware) and began composing songs on the Nintendo GameBoy in early 2008.
His music mixes sometimes sweet, sometimes epic melodies, pounding, danceable rhythms, (not to mention the occasional 80's hair-metal cover) and never fails to turn any room into a frothing mess of nuclear gleeful madness!

With local favorites:

Baron Knoxburry (Ann Arbor, MI) [http://b-knox.com/]

Smacking you with chiptune, ukulele, caribbean, synth pop, thrash and booty squeezing phattie beats.
A one-man-band musical amalgamation.

Anti-Cheat (Ann Arbor, MI) [http://www.myspace.com/anticheat]

Professional NES champion, Anti-Cheat began writing chiptunes for Battle of the Bits in 1981.
Sounds structurally like original 8-Bit Nintendo music and will bring you a serious dose of nostalgia.

And live 8-bit visuals projected by:

i had something similar to that screen problem when i put my back light kit in, did you try just loosening the screws in back a bit? sometimes its just the panels being slightly bent cause of the extra space being taken up under the screen, and they can't display properly

he's saying you should get a zip drive. i concur.

the music area was kind of small, but the arcade was fucking awesome. one of the promoters smoked me out and i immediately double fisted House of the Dead.
