So, I bought some new RAM cards to upgrade my 1040STe to 4Mb, and after looking into a bunch of tutorials it looked like it was a plain and simple switch out, but when I opened mine up, the RAM was actually soldered in?! There was no SIMMS socket like I'd seen on other STe's.

Anyone else had this problem? If so, how did you get around it?

+1 for the Drag n Derp. I have two and neither of them have caused me any problems at all. I have had batteries run out halfway through using LSDJ and it still boots up fine. Super easy for dragging saves on and off. But for specifically in LSDJ stability, I don't think there would be much difference, but if anything the Drag n Derp would be safer imo.

I just have a cheap Alesis io2 interface for computer, and a behringer mixer for anything hardware.

I have some Beyerdynamic DT 770's and they are not only the most confortable headphones I've worn, but they're also a super pleasant but accurate sound. Also really good in terms of getting spare parts for them apparently, which is nice.

Quality post.

On a serious note though: I think what you are looking for is this, which is for the toploader Famicom.

It allows you to play music from the expansion chips in the carts that you insert along it, as well as the 2A03. You use it with 0CC Famitracker.

Wow, thanks guys. I'm glad you like it. I used some custom kits along with the kits that come with lsdj. Most of the custom drum samples are from my korg emx-1

Thanks for the response! Interesting to know, super tight drum work!

This is insane, loving it!

Edit: Curious to know, what kits did you use? Custom kits or stock lsdj?

Still thinking of ways to make FM instrument patch creation more fun and user friendly. Ideas welcome!

Honestly, I don't mind FM editing the way it is, because it may not be easy but it gives you the depth that you need in instrument editing. It's like the tracker maxYMiser, it was super hard to get into because the UI is pretty crazy, but once you get over that steep learning curve it really does give you all the intricacies you could want. Just my opinion though.
