Yeah, there's a lot to be said for just going for it. It's not like you're gonna get in trouble for trying. smile

Depends on how much knowledge of music theory and tracking/composing electronic music you're going into this with.

The NES version of Rampart is one of my favorite games of all time. Arcade not so much, (Curse you, never-fully-functioning-trackballs.)

As far as SNES, we used to get down on some Gemfire; It's a semi-clunky troop commanding RPG kind of thing.
Claymates is a pretty odd one; it's a fun platformer where you change into different animals throughout levels to solve puzzles and advance.
Battletoads & Double Dragon is probably overrated, but you mentioned two-player and I couldn't resist throwing it out there. It's too fun to play with a bro by your side. (And not quite as completely impossible as the other Battletoads games.)
Also in the "probably not that under-appreciated" category, but also another two-player banger is Micro Machines. This one can kill a whole day pretty quickly, especially if you have people rotating in & out on controllers.

sorry about all the delays.  its annoying to me much more than it is to you, believe me...  i want nothing more to get these wrapped up!

Anything worth doing is hardly ever easy. And as far as I'm concerned, usually worth waiting for. I've been impressed by the level of dedication team KB has shown in my experience with y'all. The fact that you're making this product at all is a huge deal, (to me at least). Thanks dude(s).

A great year's worth of work man. It's cool to look at your earliest stuff and compare it to the new jams. Peep the evolution! Looking forward to more.

So does anybody know how long will the judging take? There's not a whole lot of info on the process or how the results will be presented.

Sounds like a great idea. I'd be game for one.

So just to make things clear for us 'murricans who use the M/D/Y date system as opposed to the D/M/Y system most of the rest of the world uses, the deadline will be February 10th, 2015, correct? (Not October 2nd.)

Offered him $20 for it. Autodecline. I wonder what his lowest acceptable price is set to?

Everybody cranked out serious jammers for this thing. Good work gents.

For real though, I try to write a song a week. On average I spend probably 3-5 hours a day tracking. Lately that time hasn't translated into finished songs because I've been getting into LSDJ finally. My Famitracker workflow has slowed to a crawl too due to experimenting with expansion channels. So yeah, I guess it's a good thing to learn and write and not release songs. Hopefully when I do get around to making some releases my output will be better quality.
