If there were laptops with AWE32's in them, my bank account and savings would be in the negative.

Whenever I make toms with Adlib Tracker/FM, I just use sine waves with pitch slides starting out fast, then slowing up in speed as note decays

Burnkit2600 and Misfitchris are also in CT !

Vestax PMC280 - $160 + shipping

In great cosmetic shape, It all works except for effects.  I don't know why. But when you activate the effects, output signal goes silent. Maybe can be repaired? Still a very nice sounding 4 channel mixer, so that's why its only $160.

Ensoniq SQ80 - $400 including shipping to continental US.

A really nice synthesizer, just deciding to get rid of some synthesizers these days. It is in great cosmetic shape and everything works. I will include a power cord and case with it. Info taken from VINTAGESYNTH:

The SQ-80 is basically a reved-up ESQ-1 with a total of 75 waveforms, a 61-note keyboard with velocity & aftertouch, floppy disk drive for storing patches and sequences, and an enhanced sequencer. Great for organs, analog-type sounds, pads and sound effects. Like the classic ESQ-1, the SQ-80 functions in providing analog-type 4-pole lowpass filtering and editing of digital waveforms. Each voice can combine up to 3 of the 75 waveforms. These waveforms include multi-sampled transient attack waves such as violin bow, plectrum picks, mallet, hammer, breath attacks and percussive sounds. There are also 5 sampled drum sets. Three LFOs are onboard for some pretty wild modulation of the sounds you create or edit. Complete MIDI implementation makes the SQ-80 great for any studio or live use too.

Yamaha R100 EFX unit - $75 including shipping to continental US.

A nice little effects unit with tons of features with editable parameters. 1/4 inch Mono in, to dual 1/4 inch Stereo out. I've used it on guitars, keyboards, drum machines, etc. Everything works as it should.

Canon HF M30, HD video camera $280 including shippping to contintental US.

Decent HD camera, comes with case, charger, 2 batteries and 16gb mem card. If interested I can link you some videos I took, to show the record quality.

This camera can take aftermarket add-on lenses such wide-angle/fisheye style....

Oh babies.

I don't have experience with it specifically, but it seems so yes. Just send your "trigger" sound, such a steady kick drum to the sidechain input, and it will initiate the "ducking" volume on your master stereo signal you have going through it. I am not sure why there is a sidechain output though, I have not seen that before. I guess if you wanted to send a signal out to trigger something else at the same time, you could use the sidechain output.

Adam is in Poland? He has thus returned to the homeland. Sto lat !

EDIT: just realized I have a "gig" that day already. sad I know you you guys will kill it!

I have one of these Armadas to sell. I bought a couple of them and decided that I wont need them all. Ive been using this one everyday for the past two weeks and it works 100 percent. Occasionally though, it wont boot to DOS. No big deal, just after one reboot it always goes right into DOS. It's most likely because of the IDE/CF hard drive I put in it. Everything is all configured and ready to go. I've loaded it up with tons of trackers and samples to get you started. The cosmetic shape of this laptop is rather nice too. This would be a very nice laptop to get started with MS-DOS. Here are the specs:

Compaq Armada 1750
Pentium II 300 MHZ
128 mb ram
2gb CF hard drive (for easy transferring! Just take out the back panel, and easily remove the CF card and put into a card reader)
CD-ROM
Floppy
DOS7.1 Install CD
Trackers: Adlib Tracker II, Amusic101, Fast Tracker 2, Scream Tracker 3, Impulse Tracker 2, Nerd Tracker 2
A handful of some GRAPHICS programs
It has an analog RCA out, as well as VGA out. You can get access to the RCA out if you install Windows 98.
Power cord.
Maybe I can throw some games on there too.

$100 shipped to the US, or possibly open to trades.

I can help you out as best as I can if you have any other MS-DOS needs/questions.

Or if you wanted to try to get the newer model which is more money, and also discontinued, there is the NUMARK X9. They seem to be hard to find though.

I would look into the NUMARK DXM09

it has 3 channels, and effects that you can assign to either the MASTER or each channel. Somewhat harder to find these days, but there can be bought used in your price range or even less.

Hi,

I'd like some advice on a mixer which has some specific requirements* to suit for live use and a minimum of 3 inputs. Budget is £100-upwards. Effects aren't necessary though could be useful - ideally with a tap button. The mixer needs to have sliders, eq and a crossfader too.

* I'm looking for a mixer which also has a FX send per input so I could have effects  (i.e - delay/reverb) running through one input though not a another channel.

Does anyone know if a mixer like this exists?

Thanks.
