it sounds great, and it's open-source... well done and thank you!

ah yes, some of them are by side: http://www.datamath.org/Graphing/JPEG_T … FR.htm#PCB (I also suspect this TI82 stats behaves like the Parcus)
Maybe i'll wait for a next garage sale. I'm not in a hurry, but a second TI would be convenient for having several projects (and also using rawp-ti). They are so short in memory...
I'd like also to mod them, like replacing the 2.5 shitty jack port with a 3.5 one, or adding a new one (it might not work).

Hey, I want this one in transluscent green: http://www.datamath.org/Graphing/TI-83PLUS_S0504E.htm

do all the TI-82 have a port for connexion? Some I see on ebay don't seem to have one, but maybe it's not located at the bottom.

It's a great project! Another powerful engine designed by Irrlichtproject.

You can get a "greylink" usb cable for under 15€ on ebay, search for "USB transfer cable/link calculator Texas Instrument TI 83, TI 83plus, TI89" (the only annoying thing is they are quite short in length)

you can maybe find cheaper monitors. I've seen some 7" around 20 or 30 € on ebay: http://www.ebay.fr/itm/7-inch-HD-Profes … 33aa726739

or even cheaper for smaller 4,3 " : http://www.ebay.fr/itm/181741830294

but be careful, it seems some are not very compatible with the C64 (refresh problem), have a look at lemon64 forum, there are some threads about this (which I can't find again at the moment)

Very catchy tunes, as usual with ComputeHer. It's a good idea to remake the same song with new chips / systems. We are SIDuced.

Hello Hermit,

SID-Wizard is really a wonderful program, I can confirm it's really convenient to use with the Vice Emulator. Thanks a lot for programming it. I started making SID tunes with GoatTracker, but now SID-Wizard is my favorite: it has a nice looking appearance, it's easier than GT to create instruments with it, it's also great to manipulate tracks and the orderlist (GT is similar for this aspect). I've made 6 complete tunes with it, and I have 3 or 4 other W.I.P. The only thing that I could miss is the mouse, sometimes it's quicker to point and click smile (and with VICE when we click on the window for focusing, there is an annoying menu appearing under the mouse cursor).

The XM and midi conversion (import AND export) is another killer feature I'm often using.

GoatTracker is very good too, and I'll probably use it again in the future, but SID-Wizard will probably remain my all-time favourite. I've only used it briefly on my C64, but I can't save on it (I can only transfer data one-way). Seems equally easy to use. The keyboard shortcuts are very well chosen, yes.  When using symbolic mapping, I can turn off/on channel 1 and 3, but not channel 2. Some I'll probably give positional mapping a try (I thought I couldn't use some other shortcuts with positional, but a quick test on another computer seems to confirm all is working fine).

Another great thing with SID-Wizard is the complete reference manual and sheetcheat, which make it easy to start with (goattracker's manual is quite complete too, but more obscure on some points). DefMon looks powerful, but has almost no documentation.

So far I find SID-Wizard almost perfect. The only thing I don't understand is whether it's possible to use chords (arpeggios) in conjunction with effect-column such as pitch up or vibrato. When I activate a chord in an instrument (with 7F), I can no longer use those effects.

I'd be also cool if it could remember the start-up menu preference when we save the config.

what do you mean by "game ready"? Most tracker for a given chip/system can export for making games to this system: for example with vortex tracker II you can export a file so you can include it into a sinclair spectrum game, with goattracker you can export to include it into a C64 games.

But from your question, I guess you're targeting a more modern system such as Windows, Mac OS X or Linux? Then do you just want to create a mp3 or ogg/vorbis file to include into your game? Then any tracker can be just as good as another one, that really depends what kind of chiptune sound you're expecting.

klystrack, famitracker, deflemask, lsdj, sunvox are rather easy to use trackers.

Such a shame it had to turn out this way, too. sad

ah, thank you for pointing it to me. It's a sad situation.  The comment "Shiru's interface never improved much" was plain stupid...

Shiru and his projects really rock, this man is a genius (coding for zx, coding for windows, coding for NES and SNES, composing great music)

it's the pity this tfmmaker was removed from Shiru's website. Do you know why? It's a very good program. You can find a copy there:

it looks interesting. What is this srm feature? I've seen it's supposed to be used in SNES emulators, but I guess this srm is for some gameboy emulators?

about the QT4 app, I managed to compile it on Linux (Mint), you don't need the complete sdk, just "apt-get install qt4-dev-tools" and it should be enough. About the makefile, it complained about a missing X11 lib during the linker part. So I just type "g++ -Wl,-O1 -o FB01v2 editeur.o set.o midi.o block.o voice.o operateur.o instrument.o bank.o config.o edit.o bank_voice.o automation.o periph.o qoperateur.o qbutton.o qclavier.o qvoice.o qinstrument.o qenveloppe.o qbank.o mainwindow.o qautomation.o qconfig.o memory_ex.o midi_ex.o ex.o automation_ex.o moc_qoperateur.o moc_qbutton.o moc_qclavier.o moc_qvoice.o moc_qinstrument.o moc_qenveloppe.o moc_mainwindow.o moc_qbank.o moc_qautomation.o moc_qconfig.o qrc_FB01.o    -L/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu -lasound -lQtGui -lQtCore -lpthread -lX11" (the command with -lX11) and it worked. I don't have a FB01 though and it's less cheap than it used to be in the past it seems (at least 70-80 €)

I tried to make this one sounding quite melancholic, I don't know if I succeeded but anyway: https://soundcloud.com/garvalf/la-dame- … e-du-chene

(more to come sooner or later)

Thank you for sharing this, it seems to be a wonderful piece of software (as are gimp and audacity)

you can't just "make drums": beepola is a frontend to several ZX beeper engines, so most of them are supporting drums (QChan, Tritone) while some are not (ROMBeep). Most of the time drums are only click drums so you just have to enable them (add 1 in the drum column) but some others supports variations. You generally can't modify the sounds of either the instruments or the drums, they are fixed by the engines. But some of them allows variations, like Phaser1.

You can get all informations on http://freestuff.grok.co.uk/beepola/help/intro.html

Have you looked at the example samples: http://freestuff.grok.co.uk/beepola/showcase/ ?
