interesting! shame digital tv in the UK means that teletext is now defunct. Or is there a way of transmitting such stuff DIY now that the bands are free of analog TV signals?!

Re: iOS nanostudio users? (5 replies, posted in Software & Plug-ins)
Yep I managed to break the pod already using greenpoision!
And I dont blame the Dev too much, I know its Apples draconian policies. I would have hope he would have sorted me the IPA file given that I could demonstrate having bought the app and in app purchases too. His reasons for not doing so (preventing piracy) do run contrary to his suggestion advocating piracy however!
Thanks for the link Walter! I found an IPA of 1.33 but it did not work (accused me of pirating the software), so will try that also.
Dkstr: not very old, I only bought it less than a year ago, updated it once or twice I beleive. I think it would be one of the last handful of updates. (could be wrong) I guess i was just unlucky that all this happened within a few months of the app being updated beyond 4.2.1 capability.
If you have a backup of a version previous to 1.33 I would also happily accept that. I really loved your dry ice ep utilizing nanostudio BTW. awesome digi dub vibes (I love all yo tracks though)
Thanks all!

Anyone got a back up of nanostudio 1.33?
My pod got nicked, its memory wiped, then I got it back.
As my PC is a G4 mac with usb 1.0, I could never back up/ sync the pod, or put music on it.
When i went to redownload all my purchased apps, 95% of them have been upgraded beyond the devices capabilities (2g ipod touch, iOS 4.2.1)
So I got in touch with Nanostudio developer; whos only advice was, "go jailbreak ur ipod and find a dodgy copy as I cant give out an older version."
Even to someone who can prove that they bought the software! Fuckin annoying. Anyway, after jumping through hoops to actually jailbreak the thing, now I can even find a .IPA of nanostudio 1.33. Ughhhh!
Please help, all I want to do is use software Ive purchased legitamately, whilst avoiding Apples nefarious forced upgrade path and planned obsolescence. They can go suck a dick from now on as far as Im concerned

Re: ouya US vs UK price variance: wtf? (14 replies, posted in General Discussion)
its all very convinient that the prices always stay the same whilst the currency sign gets replaced! also, this doesnt explain the US/UK price variance on products that come from japan or elsewhere!

Topic: ouya US vs UK price variance: wtf? (14 replies, posted in General Discussion)
Im just about sick of the UK getting scammed on prices for harware of various kinds; seems everyone just takes US prices and replaces the dollar sign with a pound one.
The latest thing thats vexed me in this manner is the Ouya indie console. $99 or £99. again: wtf? I darent even look at US korg volca prices to be entirely honest.
Why does this happen?
Anyone care to ship me one over from the US for a small cash incentive?
Peace

Thanks guys!
Octamed is capable, yes, but limited in this regard as mentioned. Il look into Lindes' suggestion now.
TSC: too bad, but I guess you have an answer now! Maybe we can collaborate on some crunch sample goodness.

What's the best software to make use of an amiga as a midi controllable sampler? I am wanting to sequence it externally using an amiga midi interface + sequencer, thus integrating it into my modern pc setup.
Is anyone out there piping midi into their mig for anything other than beat clock? What with? and what for?

Both sold! Sorry for not coming back a bit quicker! I think 280 for the 606 was mighty reasonable; just ebay them and wince at the £500 buy it nows! You can barely get a 707 these days for that kind of money!
The one electronic and Victory road; I hate you both

Yo Aly James: if you bought it so quick then I demand an FMDrive thru Chipcrusher demo now!
Especially with the interesting stuff like Speak and Spell, Arcade machines and Amiga
Thanks!
plgDavid: are there any older versions of chipsounds that run under 10.4 osx? Im sure probably not, and that this was the only thing stopping me from buying it, but its worth an ask eh?
*I remember now I was originally thinking about bidule, so the above question applies to bidule also
