I love the guy in the second video that has absolutely no idea what he's looking at. That's exactly how I feel. As a drummer, I find this incredibly cool yet totally confusing. Can someone explain to me what exactly he's doing? I would love to try something like this myself. Thank you so much for posting!

The tuning issues could be related to the hardware of the nes dying.

What are you basing that off of? Is that just a wild guess?

How are you powering it? Are your batteries fresh? Try using a power adapter.

Here's what happened when I tried it: http://chipmusic.org/forums/topic/15989/lsdj-on-3ds/

I was using Shantae, another game might be better suited but AFAIK this has been patched.

Super Game Boy gone!

Still really want a Super Famicom, and I'd love to get rid of these GBA games.

Catskull.  Up for a Skype session?  All your questions will be answered if you want them answered.

Thanks for the acknowledgment. Really all I want are two things:

Publicly admit or deny that you are selling or have sold unauthorized GenMDM's on ebay.

Publicly tell me who I've "left hangin" or explain why you would make groundless claims against my reputation.

catskull, good idea about a site.  I can host it off of my server if you want to admin it.  Might place a banner asking for coding help too unless someone wants to step forward?  Maybe Nitro if he has time?

I was totally joking about taking pre orders. That's the exact thing you should avoid. That and I'm still not sure if I trust you enough to work with you...

If clones happen we will have another thread of fun and fire and swearing. What a time to be alive.

In the meantime, ill be thinking what to do with mine.

I should create a landing page and start taking pre orders just to see how many people are willing to blindly throw money at things.

What happened with this? Will there be an official production run of these made?

Twitter is probably your best bet for contact.

Well the code is CC 4.0 which would let anyone do pretty much whatever they want with the code, even for commercial purposes.

DSC, you should start selling clones! I'm not even joking, Furrtek has given you permission. You could really help some people out!

EDIT:
Also, I just noticed something on the website: "Furrtek Engineering is a registered company (810 204 982 00013)". As a true American, my first thought was "They should file a class action lawsuit!" Anybody have any lawyer friends? wink

Welcome! I normally don't look at welcome threads, but I'm glad I looked at this one! You'll be a valuable member of the community and I'm excited to hear your "songs". wink

Two suggestions:

There is a sticky thread for introductions, just so the the site doesn't get too hairy with thousands of old intro threads. I'd recommend just copy-pasting this exact post there: http://chipmusic.org/forums/topic/7043/ … on-thread/  You could also PM a mod to delete this thread, but it's really not a big deal.

I would also maybe recommend using your real location (or at least area) in your profile. It's useful if you ever buy or sell things on the trading post as well as for people that may be in your area that would want to meet up to hang/play shows/whatever. Again, not a super big deal. smile

Welcome to cm.org!

PS: I wouldn't be too worried about not searching before posting, the sites search engine is pretty horrible. Sometimes I google "MY QUESTION chipmusic.org" and that seems to work better.

I feel like the people capable of understanding how the midines works probably already do. I wouldn't be surprised if building your own with one of the Infinite NES Lives carts is pretty easy. In fact, I'm pretty sure the cart in the OP is a predecessor to the INL cart. One things for sure, wayfar didn't have that flash cart produced for the midi nes. I would love to see a rom dump though.

That being said, I fully expect the FaMI to be much better than the midi nes. If only for the fact that batsly adams isn't going to screw us over. Just the fact that he's been so reluctant to drop any details even given his months of hard work says to me that he takes the project and the community very seriously and isn't setting any expectations before he know's he can deliver. I have in my hands a Star Versus cart that uses the flash cart he designed and I can say it is a quality production. I can only hope FaMI will be the same!
