I actually gasped at ork when I read that. I'm going to try and link it up to the electribe.
The whole problem i had before was the songwriting process, having to use the electribe's interface at the same time as lsdj and seeing by trial and error which notes worked. Now (if i understand correctly) I can use the tribe as a PHAT new soundsource from within LSDJ.

Bert Shefter! haha almost as bat as Bitch Sifter (or what was it that was on the original tank billing?)
my monkeydisco moniker was stolen, (flight of the chonchords style) 3 years BEFORE i originally used it. then..
my 'Jump! Press Start' name got confused with another chip dude on myspace that popped up called 'Jump! Press Select' (who then changed it)
so i became '57' but that got confused with a NJ rapper called fiftyseven.

Re: merging lsdj songs into a single song (42 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
Well, mainly in response to that yahoo group:
What I used to do live, and i'm sure many of you do the same, is to duplicate an lsdj cart and sync them.
So when writing a song I structure it with live mode in mind, i.e. seperated percussion and melody intros; a main 'body' and end it all with separated melody and percussion outros.
so a song transition would involve
1)reaching the outro of song 1
2)cancelling melody in song 1, but let percussion carry on
3)simultaneously start the melody of song 2, let that loop
4)cancel the percussion of song 1
5)and start the percussion of song 2
6) load up song 3 while song 2's body is playing & repeat.
*if i knew a song was in the same key, sometimes i'd do it with the bass too.

Wait, can there be a new chip music sub-genre relating only to dogs? Please?

Swampyboy is on haitus, last I checked. We used to talk a bit on IRC.
I wish McFiredrill would pick up LSDJ again.
I miss x|k, say what you will about him as a person/businessman, but his music was immense.
he did do a mega BSK remix
