is there a way to upgrade if you already have a 2.7 cart without buying a brand new cartridge?

Hey all my stuff is under the name GLITTERPRINCESS now is there a way to change my username on here?

You could load Mp3s of your tracks into Serato and just do a standard DJ set.

whoa what!? how did they get the 303 sound working? I'm completely unfamiliar with how the Amiga works, I thought it only did basic sample playback.

lmao 9 times out of 10 when i make chiptune style stuff, im using analog synths on the pulse wave setting XD. Even when I do use my old consoles, I'm always recording into Ableton Live and mixing them with drum samples and other synths. If the music sounds good then it doesn't really matter how you made it as long as youre not like. torturing kittens or something.

is there any way to run a VB into an external display? I guess you could do all the tracking on an emulator and bring the real hardware to the show

pretty much all of the music and sound effects in Vigilante8 are samples. its pretty impressive even tho theres a really obnoxious buzzing over every sound

I've been working on a Vaporwave styled album and finding a lot of unique synth tones by layering the melodic channels in Nanoloop2 to make chords. The FM synth especially has a really warm, lo-fi tone when used properly.
I'm wondering if anyone else on here has worked in this style using chip instruments and could give me some ideas. thanks!

Nanoloop is the only program I use for my Gameboys, highly recomended! That said, Nanoloop 2 is only for GBA and DS. You want Nanoloop 1 if you're running a DMG.

The thing is about the Genesis is that it uses pretty much the same sound chip as the DX7, so if you want to make some MD music just load up a copy of Dexed in FL Studio and you'll be golden

Yeah the Volca Sample sends out a steady pulse no matter what the swing knob is set to.
You could record the audio from the sync out of a volca and loop it on a DAW. if the signal is clean and the level is set right you can use that method to swing a volca beats.

Yeah, if only the DS had link cable support, then I'd use that instead of my micros. Having said that though, the tempo of nanoloop is pretty solid so it's probably not too bad to sync by ear as long as the tempo doesn't change..

I usually just record into Ableton Live and sync everything in a track that way. Of course that doesn't help in a live setting unless you're like me and you just load gameboy samples into an Electribe and leave the actual hardware at home. It might not look as cool  on stage but its a hell of a lot easier to work with (for me anyway).

So whats the difference between these carts and the Everdrive GB? It seems like being able to store thousands of games on a cart would be more worth the money than being able to hold just one.

Anyone ever use something like this? I wonder how appropriate it would be for use with FAT.

This thing is a clone console that parasites off the SNES for power and controller input. All the sound comes direct out of the adapter with the cable pictured. It might be kind of cool for mods like the ones done to the Super Gameboy
