Sounds like something from C64 to me. But I'm not an expert.

I like myself some of the good old DMG, but as everyone said you shouldn't worry.

Using the DMG is not about being 1337, but it's really cheap, reliable and powerful.
The GBC is really useful too, but don't worry about the Gameboy Light, it sucks.

I actually like how the mods moderated here. I remember well on the final days of 8bc where there was this massive banhammer shadow hanging over everyone's head, and I'm not fond of being "afraid" of posting something. OFF TOPIC NEVER FORGET.

I'm very lighthearted about stuff, you guys should take this path. I just ignore or I watch it burn cause it's actually funny. I usually don't even click on posts where I think it has something that would bother or bore me. Some would say that's called common sense.

12 monkeys is a little ambiguous on that, but the short it is based on (La jetée) has it as a clear time travel story, so i'd say the future elements are literally happening, not just a figment of his imagination/delusions.... also, hard to explain away him having the memory of the airport from his childhood if the time-travel element isnt really happening

Didn't know about that. So I can see the movie with another eyes then. But then, to explain, the airport scene could've been his fucked up mind playing tricks. I dunno how I would explain the bullet from 42 (was that?) but could also been all his imagination. But this is not the case, so I take back what I said.

12 Monkeys.

Does Brazil really count? It's dystopian for sure, but there is no indication of any apocalyptic event preceding the events of the movie. It's one of the best movies any way you have it, though.

Well, he comes from a future where most of mankind have been wiped out by a deadly biological weapon, and a lot of the movie deals with the nature of that future, so I'd say it counts.

Yeah, I guess Brazil seems more 1984 than Mad Max.

And actually I didn't think about the mass destruction, but also I'm really confused if anything in the movie that happens in the future is real or not, which is what I think is the point of the movie. But I might have the wrong impression of it.

And what about AKIRA? Guess I'm diverging to another sci-fi field now.

I always wanted to watch this one, but never did. All Fallout's fault.

The first Mad Max is just awesome. I once did a song about the Interceptors.

Isn't Escape From New York that? Well, I then say I love Escape from NY.

And I totally need to watch Brazil, asap

The quality of a composition, sadly, is not subjective. There are ways of telling when a composition took effort and/or skill into being made, and when it doesn't. Even if it 's not your cup of tea, even if you hate it, if you can recognize a piece of artwork as something that the artist worked hard on getting right, then you've stumbled upon a work of good quality.

However, even if you like something, if you can tell it was pretty much thrown together whimsically and without much thought, could you say it's quality material? Wouldn't you be more prone to call it a "guilty pleasure" of sorts?

Well, as much as I agree with you, I still think it's pretty subjective. Your point is strong, but I still regard this question totally subjective. But anyway...

I was lazy enough to not really read the first post of this thread, and, actually, sorry about even posting in here. I'm surprised this is still open, just because it's a total flaming trap.

I still don't understand: are we talking about the quality of the sound of mp3s or are we talking about the quality of the compostions? The first is because people don't know about mixing, the second is totally subjective. I found some releases pretty awful but got lots of praise, so, yeah, wtf?

All the posts after I said what using piggy is about just reassured how cool everyone is heart

And whoa, save as would be nice to make a template project and mash stuff in different saves! I like.

I got it on the first time, but I was REEEEEEALLY SLOW. And Some stuff got stuck, but I with the razor, very gently I ripped it off  (I'm not saying you should do this, do it at your own risk).

Awesome! I still use a lot of samples and, even with my own samples they still "sucked". Gotta test this ASAP.
