This looks awesome! I'll be in Portland though. Everyone else, go to this thing and do the stuff with the fun and the dancing and the drinking and the friends.

If you're able to get this done using one of those boards, please let us know. a $35 flasher would be a game-changer for users of EMS carts.

Then make a new table and set it up like this:

TSP---CMD---CMD
EF  | O-L   | E-F5
00   | O-R   | S-40
00   | O-L   | S-E7
00   | O-LR | - 00
00   | - 00   | S-E4
03   | - 00   | S-08
00   | - 00   | S-35
00   | K 00  | K 00

Works best as C5 or C4

Hoolycrap. Optimize your tables, son!
Sorry, not trying to talk down or anything. Just a word of warning- the game boy CPU has a tendency to sacrifice the noise channel if the sum of all the channels is too much for it to handle, and with a table as complex as this, the chances of it skipping are pretty high. Keep playing around and see if you can get the same sound with something simpler, it'll pay off in the end.
I used to have tracks with tables like this (Radionecrosis used to have a SUPER complex snare table) and it wouldn't work half the time live. Honestly, most of my noise tables don't use more than 3 or maybe 4 transposes, and they're crazy stable.

I don't know that I have a preference.  I certainly like HAVING physical copies, but I always end up ripping CDs and only listening to them from my computer or phone anyway.

this.
i love owning a physical copy, especially for chip music...i'm sort of a collector of chipmusic physical releases but i usually buy them, rip them, and put them on my shelf, never to be touched again.

I thought you had to have the programmer board installed in the NES to put games/homebrew on one of those.

Nah, that's for PowerPak Lite.

Hypothetically how about a boss rv-3 (which I don't think they make anymore) ?

Could I back the memory up from one of these on a MegaMemory card?

I'm guessing so. Does the mega memory card have enough sram for LSDj? I'm not too familiar with it.

Yeah it's big enough for multiple saves, and since the ASM carts are true MBC5 it should be fine- should be just like backing up the ol' Pokemon saves (which is what the MMCs were meant for in the first place)

"What is it called? BLIP music?"
Actually they're just glad I'm doing something I love. They had some fun reactions to the footage from Pulsewave and Blip...I think they're hapy I'm having fun and still supporting myself via the dayjob.

Almost there. Megabus is mere blocks away. Brand new track is in playable condition. Let's do this.

I may have to join you for this, I'm getting in pretty early. You'll be working on that Tapper record right?
