Oh, quick question - the album, is it a hard copy or another digital download? It says it has songs "not available on the digital download" so my assumption was a hard copy, but I just wanted to clarify.

Re: Tech advice request: Smartboy reader & cart problem (13 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
This advice isn't necessarily re: the smartboy cart and reader, but what I tell just about everyone these days is to back up the save to a Mega Memory Cart before ever trying to hook anything up to a PC. That way at least you have a backup somewhere in case shit goes down (as it inevitably does). They're not the most robust backup tool, but they're dirt cheap and have saved me quite a few headaches so far.

Re: recording the prosound DMG, unwanted hiss on any single channel ... (11 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
You may have a ground loop - try unplugging your computer while recording and see if that gets rid of it. If so, you can avoid this by plugging your interface into a different wall plug than the computer (one on a different wall or something like that). Or you could record with the computer unplugged running on batteries...but that only gives you so much time to record.

Re: Using LSDJ as a midi sequencer! (180 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
Does the max patch only work with the ftdi to usb cable? my Uno isn't being recognized when plugged in with the usb jack.
Also, I've found that the Q command doesn't trigger the TX light, but the N command does. Is this normal? I currently have mine set up to force to MIDIOUT mode, the MIDIOUT is enabled in LSDJ, and the arduinoboy is being powered via USB, not from the game boy's 5V.
