Yup - .com I kept thinking it was .org this morning you'd think after two years I could get it right? smile

(Now that this is a completely announced event and such and not just a chip in for the Pozible campaign post, I'm reposting here rather than revive a quite old thread smile)

With exactly two months to go, we have just announced the remaining line up for Square Sounds Melbourne as well as workshops (Arduino with little-scale and LSDJ with Sabrepulse), pre and post party details and everything else Square Sounds related!

This is a lineup that we are particularly excited about, so if you're in Australia (... or anywhere in the world who could do with some sun and chipmusic!) get your ass to Melbourne this will be a good one!

.... and a secret guest act performing a set never performed before anywhere in the world!

Want more? The pre party line up is Atomsmasha, Alex Lane, Alligator William and Les Incoiffables, with visuals from Aday and of course, an open mic, to put your name on the Aussie chip map.

Square Sounds Melbourne March 28 & 29. Melbourne Australia

Bitjacker - there's a few chip artists in Brissie, but not many shows on a regular basis. Melbourne is basically where it's at for chipshows. smile

Suntory "The Premium Malt's" - most delicious of beers....

But not as delicious as it is drinking it in Japan sad

(It's SUPER hot in Melbourne though so beer is the best of all drinks at this moment anyway wink  )

Last chance guys!

There is exactly ONE week left of our crowdfunding campaign. You'll save at least $10 on tickets, have access to exclusive merch that will never be seen again and previously unreleased audio/video and more. We know we made our target, but continue to help support the ongoing success of Square Sounds & get yourself live recordings from last year, exclusive unreleased material and sweet merch too, including a super limited edition one by 8GB (that we are still working on because its so special) and this one by Enso, that will be available on your choice of royal blue or black for pozible backers only!

Hey guys,
despite this thread devolving into shops (wouldn't be the first time) we made our $5,000 target in just 5 days!
This is not all the cash we need to put on the show, but it is helping us pay extra towards flights, and also getting word out there about chipmusic - as there's some people who are a bit amazed that we made it so quickly and we're garnering some attention.
Make sure you check it out - there's still 53 days to go but there are some great incentives whether you can come to the show or not. We're super excited to announce more artists in the near future. It's going to be an amazing show (and we have some extra special pre and post party events planned)

Square Sounds Melbourne may be 7 months away, but thanks to www.pozible.com and their special 'Pozible gigs' crowd funding event - we're getting an early start on matters, doing a partial line up announcement, offering some early merch and cheap tickets for backers, offer a little extra to the artists (which I'm sure is something near and dear to all of your hearts!) and generally trying to bring the awesomeness!

Lineup Announced so far!

We know that a lot of you won't be able to make it to Australia - even with 7 months notice - but there is some great merch up for grabs.
Head over to http://www.pozible.com/chipin for some great goodies, and to help support the continued existence of Square Sounds Festival in Melbourne

NOTE - I'm putting this as general discussion as it's about the campaign, not as an event. Mods feel free to move it if you feel necessary

My door is always open to either of you smile

(OK. So this should have gone up last week. Work's been crazy busy)

The team at SoundBytes is very excited to not only be presenting a panel at PAX Australia on chipmusic, but also presenting the chip showcase on Friday night. Of course, we knew we wanted to put on a chip show around PAX time, but wanted to make sure we didn't mix a minute of the PAX experience.

Given that our good friends at Evelyn Hotel are also presenting some of the other PAX musical guests in the week post-PAX, we thought it was a great opportunity to get back to one of our favourite Melbourne venues, with a ...full and amazing line up of some familiar faces, as well as some amazing up and coming chip artists

I love that Melbourne/Aussies keeps coming up in this thread.
Its true that even the people here who are just fans and don't make their own music or actively involve themselves in the online community here are incredibly supportive of artists. We have some nice folks, otherwise we wouldn't keep putting on shows
