I think this is the first time I win anything big_smile
I'll comment as soon as I give it a try! I Really would like to have some exported samples I can jam on with a tracker.

Ive composed other genre's before, just not chiptune. I just wanted to figure out whether it was an arp or if it was oscillated.

Uhm, an arp could be explained or obtained by means of oscillation.
You say you can't get it to go faster than "128ths", are you syncing it to clock? Because you should be able to work on hertz range, not measures.

BTW, how can you find out which model is your Sega?

The ones that say HIGH DEFINITION GRAPHICS etc on the circle, usually have VA1,2,3, the good ones with discrete YMs.
Otherwise you have to open the thing and read the revision text.

Believe me I was of the thought that all these were exaggerations because they usually referred to the amplification circuit, but I hear many more problems than just that.

here's a sound sample from wikipedia comparing the two models (first model 2, then model 1) playing streets of rage: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/e … rision.ogg

You mean Genesis 2 vs Genesis 1?
Which model of Genesis 1? I don't have a VA7 motherboard anymore but if I had I'd do a cmparison with my VA2.

Somehow I missed this. Nice! An alternative to GT is welcomed.

But supposedly the MegaED is a better device, high end as krikz say, and still compatible with 32X.
I'm quite happy with my MD excpet for the revision I have which has no hardware Megakey. The software Megakey introduced on the 3.x OS just doesn't work, I still need a hardware Megakey.

Feels to me like it's not worth it at all.

Can anyone explain to me the difference between these two cartridges?
I understand the Mega Everdrive has a USB port for dev purposes, and that it can support savestates. But other than that, what is the difference? Yeah you can go back to the menu without hitting the power button, but I understood the latest version of the software for the Everdrive MD will do the same.

It says the games load in 1/2 seconds. Is flashing faster or does this not flash at all (kinda working like a NDS Acekard or something)? The description does refer to both as "flash cartridges" though.

I don't understand what is the vast improvement over the Everdrive MD and why it costs 140+ dollars (almost double the price an EMD).
I would like to hear it from those who have one or understand what's so much better!

That baby is having trouble, being born backwards (can't help but think it's being pushed back in like a reject xD)

I'm having problems downloading this. The transfer cuts at random places and I can't even resume it.

IMO the Pioneer DJ mixers have garbage pre amps.

Can you elaborate on this? I never had a single problem with a Pioneer DJ mixer, I always ask for them and am happy playing live with them.
Of course I don't use them for recording, that's what my multi-input audio interface is for.
