DRIPTAPE DOWNLOAD

Do u h8 ur frenz cuz they h8 weiwd tunes?  U will like us.  Open the door 2 a dark basement & u will find 20 kids dancing sickeningly 2 these large tunes.  Shoutout to the gang inside.  DRIPTAPE VOLUME 1 is an amalgamation of the ~modern sounds~ currently bubbling under the mainstream surface.  This furious 18 minute mixtape combines footwork, trap, chip, American hip-hop, lo-fi, 2-step, and grime into a mix that flirts with genre lines.  Beats created with gameboy tracker LSDJ, sample-based tracker LGPT, and Ableton Live beatmatch drip into each other.  Distorted remixed rhymes and freestyle flows STAY outrageously dada authentic, rendering all other ca$h #swag emcees obsolete.  This is a must-listen if you frequently find yourself bored with everything people recommend to you.  [DATAFRUITS 002]

The emulation is a little off, but I found this game by complete chance in one of those "60 in 1" cartridges for gameboy.
I was pretty impressed.

ovenrake i'm sorry i pushed you away and you left tacoma!!  come back we miss you

pfff it wasn't you, they got rid of the stage @ dorky's !
can you believe that shit? I plan on having a Tacoma vacay sometime soon. I need infinite soups, red hot, and val halla.

Continue your conversation everyone tongue

It's easy to think everyone is negative and the world is ending if you base a musical community on words that are akin to thought-provoking bathroom wall etchings. Like other's have said, just go to a chip show. If you live too far away, make one yourself or drive across the country.

I try to do the "don't say anything if you don't have anything nice to say" thing, but it's hard to keep it in sometimes. I'm sorry

lootcanal, Hitori Tori, and RiDylan are all fucking great performances I can vouch for. I honestly don't get why there isn't more mention of lootcanal around here, some of the best mixes I've that happen to be almost entirely all gameboy tracks.

Wish I could go!

I spent my time growing up and being a preteen east of the mountains; Ellensburg specifically, and I miss it. Only town in WA where it makes sense to skate

@nonfinite: I hope your travels have been educating and at least fun smile

where do you want your songs to end up?

because right now they are on my desktop in zip files surrounded by winvice, an old chibi tech song, a couple of c64 demo .prgs, an ariel pink album, the mix that got dj shadow kicked of the decks in miami and an ovenrake live set

I thought I was the only one with that folder o___0

edit_real story:: Oh, I'd like it if my music ended up on some ancient computer (20 years from now). Then some kid buys a computer with my songs on there, learns how to use a tracker, and sends me an email saying their shit got rocked.

yeah, Yerzmyey - Strange Light Under My Bed, was my favorite thing that came out.

im making a split by myself

Some of your favorite artists do that you know. Do you not like your own favorite artists or something now?

If i learned anything from the pretentious sludge-metal scene in Seattle; Everyone that's aware of the Chipmusic in Seattle, already thinks it is full of hipsters. This was only a few years ago so I mean, maybe it got worse or better. Why am I even saying anything.

If you see Hella's "Concentration Face" DVD, there's a dude that opens up for them using at least 6 copies of gameboy camera at once. The name always escapes me, and I'm also really bad with Japanese names. The music was atmospheric; as if you were in an arcade with 50 of the same cabinets playing at different times.
