time to buy a replicator 2...
Hi guys!
I've manufactured the first GenMDM board. Tested it, and it works great
I'll be spending a good chunk of my time off over Easter, doing a production run.
Here's a photo of the first board from batch #2:
I'm actually quite happy with how the PCB came out. I'll keep you all updated with pics over the Easter weekend. Shipping starts on Tuesday!
hahahaaha
awesome!
Also: What does DBZ have to do with chipmusic?
But I do like the idea of the site
This is suitable for the releases section, I think.
Just a quick formatting gripe: the link buttons and the descriptions seem to align weirdly and make it somewhat difficult to visually match up the "description" with the "button".
Interesting thread. I think the price is perfectly fine, and also Der Warst is indeed a king as has been stated.
that drill bit video!
How difficult do you think it would be to solder an EPROM or a cart directly to the GG?
True re: reg
oh of course, pin 5 from the port is the way to go.
the issue is that the first batch PCBs did not have a connection on the interface going to pin 5, because they are exclusively bus powered from USB...
You might run into difficulties in terms of current use? Not sure.
There's a jumper that, when added, means that 5V is drawn from the 9-pin connector of the SEGA for 5 PIN DIN mode.
Good news everyone!
The GenMDM PCBs have arrived for batch 2 and the last 5 from batch 1. I'll post a picture of it tonight when I get home from work.
The exciting thing is that the batch 2 PCB includes a 5-PIN DIN input connector - something that I added once I realised it would be possible to have BOTH USB and MIDI with the same firmware.
