Look at guitar pedal cases. Durable, cheap come in all shapes and sizes. Also we ca try to Vince people on trains we play real instruments but "forgot" our guitars?

That sounds like a really good price, I liked the new jam you put up also.

Mate, I am SO with you. I love Seq (FM synthesis on my psp? fuck yes!) but I have 3 issues with it which I think stop if from hitting the big time.

1 - Unintuitive key presses

2 - Complex terminology

3 - Difficult to understand values for editing synths.

There are a couple of other minors thing I would like tweaked (default colors/song editor/copyandpaste) but I really feel that its a dreadfully underexploited program. I have seen far few tunes on SEQ unfortunately.

To be honest, I think PSPseq and Piggy tracker are the best trackers/sequencers for the PSP, nothing else really comes close. PSPseq is a bit of software where has a very steep learning curve but its extremely powerful although hard to use. I don't think anyone has really come close to mastering it yet,.

This might sound like an incredibly foolish question but I have had two or three little sessions with Ableton and one highly capable Live user try and explain it to me but I just don't really "get" the software. I don't know if it requires some kind of shift in thinking I can't make or a leap I am not capable of but I was really curious why so many people like it and what if specifically attractive about it?

Also I am totally not insinuating the software is deficient in any way, just that I haven't been able to click with it yet.

Really interested in everyones thoughts.

Im following this fairly closely and spent a while listening to a few audio samples. Pretty excited, wondered if any time frame/price information is available?

I think running a 1000 plus capacity event is highly ambitious, obviously hope it does well but I think you don't really have the luxury of booking only chip music acts. I think you may need to tie it into some other cultural phenomena like games or anime or invite a few well known artists from outside the scene. Bearing in mind your capacity is over what Blip pulls on its busiest nights I am move curious how you sold the event to the club.

I appreciate this is only tangentally chip but I occasionally use my Iphone for music related stuff and I also plan to keep my set on it incase of dire equipment failure. I have a bit of a problem though, whenever I plug the headphone out into my line mixer which then connects to powered speakers, the iphone makes a wierd "popping" sound and the volume slider jumps about all over the show. Anyone have any idea what might be happening?
