In theory is is functional but rendering on one of the handheld platforms is kind of pointless. It takes AAAAAAGES and everyone has access to a PC / Mac / Linux box which is a much faster way of doing it.
Also what is your budget? Any what are the devices, a mix of guitars, vocals, gameboys or ten synths? Assuming it is a mixed bag of things and you have the budget, get one of these
its 270 bucks with free shipping on Amazon, it has 4 mono and 4 stereo inputs as well as a tape input and 2 stereo returns. It is built like an absolute tank and sounds great.
Also regarding the converter, just buy a 10 dollar cable with RCA on one end and 1/4 inch on the other, it will give you access you a MUCH better range of mixers than limiting yourself to RCA out.
That is actually USKs mixer. It is covered in stickers, the beast has been through the wars. That mixer is also called a Roland M10 HD, swear there was an edirol branded one as well but i cant remember the name. it was replaced by the edirol m10mx which I think you can still buy new.
In honour of Chibitech's absolutely legendary set getting a release and Quarta330 finally uploading his awesome festival opener from 2010 I thought I would collect all the Blip Tokyo sets I could find! there are fabulous, go listen to them!
I know piggy has soundfont support but im a bit confused about how they differ from just a collection of samples. Can anyone break down the advantages of using soundfonts in piggy for me. Assume im a complete idiot on this topic....
Another thing I have tried which might not work in the confines of the gameboy battery compartment, is dropping a dab of hot glue or superglue into the stripped screw head then immediately holding the screwdriver head in the hole, pressing down hard and waiting for the glue to set then turning it.
I saw Xinon using one of these at a show over the weekend but didnt have chance to ask him about it. It looks basically tailor made for gameboy / piggy tracker users
Super tiny, usb powered, cue and cross faders. Seems perfect? Anyone used one or has any opinions?
