Interesting topic. It really helps for me not to analyze too much. Sometimes I'll write a little something on the piano, or guitar,  just so I can get something flowing quick, and then move it to a tracker. If I think too much about structure it tends it block things up. However during periods when I'm not writing songs, I'll be more inclined to study chord changes and things in other peoples songs, or brush up on theory. I can find little things that get worked into my process.

can someone recommend some "must have" c64 albums/artists? other than rob hubbard or martin galway of course. new and old stuff.

Gah, so many patches. These will keep me busy. Bummer lsdj.2x26.com seems to be down unfortunately.

Ohhh. I gotcha. I'm using 2.0 I think. That makes sense now. I was putting it all on one line. Durr.  Thanks Neil.  big_smile

Hi chiptuners. Does anyone know the commands to make a delayed vibrato in SDI? It's a very cool c64 tracker in which i have been rock and rolling. But I cannot figure out the vibe table commands for " no vibe - no vibe - vibe - VIBE - VIBE ". I can do the opposite tho. Inb4 rtfm.

edit:
hmm. guess not. it's a relatively new tracker i suppose.  hard to find info on it.

What a coool idea!!! It's like a demo, or a [k]rack. wink And a renoise file to boot. Thanks.

Don't know if these people are in the same clique but i like Cim and Isan. Good chipDM. Intelligent chip music. Chip hop. lol.

Hi there guys. 8bitone is pretty cool. It's got a sequencer, piano roll, pulse osc, saw osc, tri, noise, LFO and an arp. I recommend it for chippy sounds. It could be a lot cooler with a filter tho. Nanoloop is my favorite iphone music app. It's really versatile, and just sounds sick. As for rebirth I found the buttons were just too small. Probably would be maddening to make a whole song with it.

oh, theres also a pretty cool synth called NESynth. It's just a synth, but sounds neat.
