How are you guys able to purchase nanoloop? Google chrome throws up an error whenever I try to access the store on the website.

Hey! the lithium battery in my GBA SP has finally begun to lose its charge. After a solid 6 or 7 years of use, it only lasts about a good hour or so before needing to be plugged back in. Which is understandable.

That being said, I use my GBA for LSDJ (and potentially in the future, nanoloop), so I'm looking to buy a replacement. I've checked out a couple of batteries on deal extreme however their reviews have me wondering whether or not it's a good deal even for a low price...

So I wanted to ask, has anybody bought replacement batteries before? What would they recommend? And how long would these batteries last?

This is a glorious topic. Good going, everybody.

I'm more stoked on the newbies who must check this thing for new stuff to listen to . What a great resource smile

Yeah, foobar2000 can't play any mod stuff by default, however there are components that allows you to play them. I like foobar because it's simple, resource friendly, and has a great minimalist interface smile

I used to compose ENTIRELY out of medium mainly because when writing music in a DAW format or on LSDJ, i felt overwhelmed by the possibilities and whatever I wrote never felt up to par. Whereas with writing songs on a guitar, I have placed a lot of limits on myself (a mixture of limited technique + desires that i want to see from my songwriting) that helps to create music.

lately i've been trying to place the same limits (mentally) on my chiptune writing process and so far things are looking up...new batch of songs sound better than the last...and the last...and the last...its an arduous process lol big_smile

I really really really like this! Awesome stuff big_smile

is it really a good idea for everyone to be splintering off like this, community-wise? I'm just trying to figure out why this site exists if it's just like every other chip site with nothing to distinguish it hmm

KCC Live, the station The Chipmusic Hour goes out on, was recently nominated for a Sony Award - it sadly didn't win, but considering the station has been an FM station for less than two years, this is a massive achievement! http://www.radioawards.org/winners/2011 … er-300000/

I should be back on the chipmusic hour in two weeks time, I need loads 'n' loads of recommendations for tunes! Send any mp3s/links to radio(at)calmdownkidder(dot)com if you want!

This is awesome news smile i'll be sure to send you some stuff!

No?

I agree, he's a douche. But eh. Wishing death upon someone is just as bad in my opinion hmm

I might as well ask while the topic's open, whatever happened to ChipCon? Did he just cancel because of idiot moves made or what not?

Just saw this

Thought I'd contribute, but I also wanna know how OP fared.
I play guitar in my chip influenced band, and we use a DS10 and gameboy. I use a fuzz distortion and just a touch of reverb. Here's a song of ours done on LSDJ with guitar toward the end.

Not too bad. As long as you EQ it properly and the recording of the guitar track is not fucked or anything, it works. Oh yeah and mess around with your distortion settings and what not.

I tried on my SupercardSD and is not working sad((
in the pc emulators works fine big_smile

Supercards have the worst emulation rate out of the GBA flashcarts, I find...go for a EZ Flash IV, slightly more expensive but they play nearly anything tongue

Can't wait to try this!!!!
