The only advice I have for you on this one is simple.
No you dont need to know theory. Music is a natural thing, so let it naturally happen! Dont get me wrong, some education might do you good, but there a plenty of musicians out there who have worked their whole careers by ear.
Dont worry so much about what to call yourself and what you do, worry more about whether or not it's yours. You know?
Music doesnt need to sound any one way. If you are into Maj7's then rock those poppy scales, man!
As far as finishing songs, I think there are a lot of us that hit that wall. Maybe go back through some of the old stuff and try hybriding some things?
Long story short - If you love your music, and you love making it, then you are doing it right.

Re: Busking Speakers (10 replies, posted in General Discussion)
theAutomation, are there volume controls on the amp itself that I don't know about?
Not that I have found, no. I agree with you on the lack of volume part, thought i was VERY suprised by the sound quality!
And I'll grab a quick video of it for you Edward. I'll throw it up here later.
I had looked at the micro cube. I had a "Hodad" for a while. That was pretty neat. lol

Alright so in my cheapness, I went to the toy store looking for cheap speakers. Was planning on buying like a cheap set designed for mp3 players of what have you, the little $10 sets you see all the time.
I happened across a little cardboard box "amp" for the paper guitar things. ("Paper Jamz")
It's kinda goofy looking - but rocks. The best part of the whole thing? It weighs literally ounces. Super portable, and only $12.
Has a 1/8" input and since it's cardboard, im not worried about the dings and scratches you know?
Long story short, anyone else gotten their hands on any good unsuspecting speakers?

Hmm... looking for one of the non-plus lights.
Like the flat one without the foldout.
Also might be in the market for a HandyBoy XD
I've got a handful of gba's. and nifty little cheap keyboard, and some other junk lying around that people are more than able to barter with me for.

Help!
Long story short, I have a show this next weekend, and have found myself without a working LSDj cart. bad news... I have my sav backed up, but the cartridge itself is in several pieces. (It's a long story involving a 4 year old).
Does ANYONE have one they would be willing to part with for fairly cheap and quickly?
I know it's a shot in the dark, but hey!
Thanks guys
