Don't forget http://thursdaycustoms.bigcartel.com/product/dmg-audio ! They aren't available with headphone jacks installed right now, but it's a nice little space saving thing that keeps the DMG looking stock.

KeFF is da best! He has a beautiful and unique style, and yet all his projects look different, I don't know how he does it!

IMHYIO*, cohesiveness is far more important than length.

*I just made that up, it means "in my humble yet informed opinion".

I already ordered one, but not for LSDJ, for "everything else" - I can load it with games and one-off music tools (like muddyGB, shitwave, etc etc) and keep my LSDJ carts always set up. And always have Mega Man to play on tour! wink

game changer

Also, keep in mind you won't see the status LED without drilling another hole. This is another reason abrasive went with the clear black color instead.

Actually I have my derps in white, red, blue and yellow shells. On the yellow shell, I can see the LED through the body (would be harder but not impossible to see if I had a label on it. I can't remember offhand, but I think I can also see the light on the red, maybe the white. Red is hard since it's the same color as the light.

Sorry we're breaking your heart by swapping them out man. wink

The Glowing Stars' USB flash cart had stickers printed by PSPrint which turned out great.

We paid to have them make a custom die in the exact size of an original cartridge label, but we were doing a bulk order so it was worth it.

Just gonna throw out there for anyone who might buy this fella's rockband controller that I can tell you how to do a couple easy mods to this to put a damper switch on the handle and permanently put the touchstrip in pitch bend mode (you have to hold the button down, normally or it does mod wheel). Makes it pretty dang nice for live performances.

Woah, that is some next level shit.

The best way to make chipmusic, imo, is however you can do it with whatever you already have. As you find your voice in the medium, you might drift towards tools that are more effective at achieving what you want to make, but for now just work with what you've got.

If you have LSDJ running on a real Gameboy, you can use an arduinoboy to sync it with Ableton, and anything else with MIDI functionality. You can also sequence the gameboy from Ableton and to a limited degree, vice-versa.

I'm not sure what you mean by "hacking" your gameboy, but all you REALLY need to get LSDJ running is a working flash cartridge.

I'm with SBSM. I make folk/chamber music with gameboys and banjos and saxophones and violins and stuff. Am I in the same genre as Danimal Cannon and Nullsleep? I don't buy it.

Either way, I don't get why I don't see hella people using quints all the time, they seem rad... but I've never had a use for one myself so I guess that answers the question?
