Lookin' good!  - I especially enjoyed learning about LSD.   Whoa- cant believe I never heard of that one; seems like it would have been right down my alley way back in the chipmodded PS1 days.   Dude, I thought Vib-Ribbon was trippy!    gotta figure out how to play import "back-ups" on my old ps2.

How about this:

If you want a line-level (prosound)  signal from an iphone/ipod, use a 30-pin dock or cable with audio out.
or make your own :

i think L and R are  on pins 2 and 3.

thanks, dude. Good luck.

I found this when cleaning a lot of  ebay gameboys, maybe from a "play it loud" ( i forget)  :

DMG mother board -08 (right)    More or less has the same layout  as other versions,  but with mush smaller,  resin covered chips.  Has some different traces too and "spermy" looking solder pads in the center.      Obviously  this is a later version but possibly a protoype for pocket hardware?

Anyone know anything?

SurfaceDragon, this may be a bit nudgey...but  if your cart is dead and you dont think that you can fix it, may I have it?       Just the board would be fine, since you are already reusing the case.  I could pay the postage  or i can send you some of my junk in return.  Email if you're interested.    charbot at gmail

Personally, Id rather have a mod that allows one to manually switch between menus.   Should be easy :a pushbutton between ground and the menu cap.  A momentary path to ground will immediately drain the cap and should solve the "stuck on menu 2" power cycling issues  -this is just a therory.  I Havent tried it cause i only have one cart and i dont want to sacrifice it for a learn n burn.

hey,

Just got 2 RGB backlights from nonfinite and both came with 1k resistors.  This made the backlight way too dim and looked horrible.   Was this a mistake, did they send the wrong value?

If you have have one of these backlights( and it is too dim), replace the 1k resistors with 100 ohm.  The leds can safely handle the extra current and the result is is much, much brighter more visible display.

If I sell these two and there is demand, Ill make more.   I literally make everything: bend and punch the metal, carve the wood, etc.  Its kinda alot of work and the total cost of materials adds up when I do a few at a time.   If everyone goes nut over them  there will be more, but probably made to order.

Here is an image of the control board inside the gameboy:

Sorry, I know the images show a much desired black DMG, , however this game boy will be transplanted into a grey body.

and a few screen shots.  I took them mostly to show the color range. obviously, contrast looks way better in person.

... you get the idea.

The reverb unitand three stomp boxes:

and the arduinoboy looks something like this.

your choice of led color.  Note- this is my arduinoboy and  unfortunately I dont have any extra sync cable jacks.  if you send me a dead gameboy I can desolder and use the jack for yours. Otherwise, it will have a screw terminal blocks or whatever else you want.

...And here is the tube amp.

nanoloop touch anyone?
