not feeling that ...... she has a really boring monotone voice. seriously that's  a dreadfully dull song - verging on bloody irritating.  Music's ok though.

patience - mad patience.
to be far i only ever successfully backlit one dmg, and i killed 2 before my success haha thankfully i dont need to do it ever again !

Big fan also. I was dead excited, here's what i wrote on youtube after i heard it and listened a few times :

"bit of an anti-climax. sounds suspiciously like a track that didnt make the album cut to me haha Still a good track, but its not the 'new PS tune' excitement i'd been dreaming of if im honest."

and today ? well i guess my opinion is the same. I dont know if its that its too predictable ? But then if it was really different i'd complain it wasn't PS enough.........i guess my head and my tastes are in a different place than they where say 5 yrs ago when i still listened to Give Up regularly. But regardless, im not saying its a bad song........i think im just depressed that i dont feel it like i wanted to haha....im gonna just go listen to the perfection that is 'This place is a prison' and be done with it.

no i meant its funny that we turned your thread into mild drama before you'd even had a chance to check back. i would suggest using ablteon live over lgpt. for the simple reason, you could record your full song parts or loops direct from the gameboy instead of sampling your LSDJ sounds as one shots and making the stuff on LGPT...... that way in ableton you have tonnes of possibilitys to add drums, extra synths, vst's or whatever. it all depends how much you want to balance the chip sounds and other electronic sounds..... thats just my preference. but i also use lgpt when im out and about because i prefer it to lsdj thesedays. I can add any samples I want, easy to have all the sine's tri's pules's and shit that your heart desires as well as lots of nice drum sounds....and eight channels. hmmm - i guess in conclusion id say both options are pretty fucking awesome.

well, you asked why someone might, and we gave some good solid reasons, only one of which you addressed by saying to use two copies of lsdj

Well I'm not saying using piggy is dumb.  You made your points and I agree with them.  I've heard piggy tracks I like.  If OP wants to try piggy, then by all means, go ahead.  I just stated an opinion that apparently was wrong.

well - technically you aked a question. 'why use piggy for this' - and they answered.
no one said your opinion is wrong.

hmmm each to their own
i love incanabula / amber / chiastic of course
i didnt dig untitled - too fast and drilling

but Quaristice is possibly my favourite ae record. but i couldn't explain why that is to be honest ? Come on 'the PLC' - totally amazing tune. But i get what people are saying though. When i first played Quaristice I never played it again for a year, but then when i re-listened - there was something about it i found sort of absorbing.
I thought Oversteps was good in places , not so in others - but Move of Ten had some amazing pieces on it - its a record i still listen to frequently.

but i will say this, my good friend has built some INSANE samplers/grooveboxes/manglers in Reaktor 5.5, and when he has them controlled by Octatrack there are time he presses play and it sounds exactly like the last few ae records. Its all very generative and i can see why people dont like it. Im convinced if my freind pressed record on his latest ensemble for an hour and then split it into segments you could quite easily play it to people and tell them it was autechre.

Now that i've seen him do that shit controlling basically just the crossfader on the octatrack (which admittedly progamming wise is mad complex - all routed to shit thats routed to lfo thats routed to sample length etc etc) it has taken the shine off some of autechres sounds.

But i always get into their newer records after a few listens. Sometimes i want to listen to music that is just fucking odd, they push the boundaries of sound design and synthesis - whether or not that kind opf stuff is nice to listen to is up to the listener...but for me its the perfect soundtrack when im making some electronics or scanning photo's or something like that
