in truth, what i meant all along but do not explain well is this
chipnerds like us are probably not interested in paying this much for something that is basically just a 'show boaty' MGB
therefore i feel like its aimed at people that dont make predominantly 8 bit music. but people that would like to make 8 bit sounds, but not just have to rely on tracking, and this is something that would look half cool if performing live.

WERD.thanks guys. herr_prof, i just did exactly that. well i was dumping just raw waveforms onto it, figured it was more economical of size to upload octave 5 of everything for the exact reason you said. deez 808 beats are quick as punch, sandwiched them with 909's and all the waveforms under the sun. seems to be working at about 22mb this folder. peace

i want to bump this rather than start a new thread because what is a fairly simple query about lgpt.
when i make my folders of samples for it and drop them onto ze psp there is obviously a certain file size limit that crashes the thing.
does anyone know this limit ? i think its maybe for the sample duration. For example i had a fairly long horror film sample i was using and when i go to load a certain splice of it that is perhaps more than a few seconds long, it crashes.
Anyone know the limit to sample lenght......and also total number/size of samples allowed for each track.
sorry if this is retard but its p p pissin me off a tad.

no. I doubt a professional working musician would buy one. Its not hard to replicate these sounds with other hardware, and it doesn't even seem like it does anything to make workflow any better than just buying a simple arduinoboy.

i totally agree with Nex. You make good points mate. BUT, this i think is kind of marketed for hipsters of course. i mean the geeks of us aren't bothered with this kind of gimmicky thing. but its not aimed at us really. speaking for myslef i built my own arduinoboy with a kit from Nex, as im sure lots of others did. But there are tonnes of people without knowledge to even contemplate building something like this, and there are plenty of kids with fuck loads of cash to spend on stuff like this. even if they post the pic on twitter and never use it.
